Cooking method

  • I rarely watch TV. And I watch exclusively FoodNetwork. And then during one of my TV viewing I came across Ina Garten - the Barefoot Countess. Such a sweet, smiling, disposed aunt who prepares family meals and shares all meals exclusively with her beloved husband. Moreover, the dishes, I want to tell you, are distinguished by a high calorie content.
  • And then she found one very interesting recipe. With an unusual name "Blintsy". And not very high in calories)) And even with a sour-milk layer! "Oh, so cottage cheese will fit here!" - I thought and rushed to the kitchen to embody
  • In general, we will characterize the dish as follows - for those who love pancakes, but do not want to bask near the pan and bake them. And then he likes to wrap curd filling in these pancakes. And in the end, pour these pancakes with sauce
  • Taste worthy, I tell you! So blinz!
  • Pancake dough:
  • 1Blints with orange sauceMelt the butter.
  • 2Blints with orange sauce
  • Blints with orange sauceAdd all the remaining ingredients to it. Whisk until smooth with a blender or food processor
  • 3Blints with orange sauceGrease the form well with butter. Pour out half of the dough. We send to the oven, preheated to 180C for 10 minutes
  • 4Blints with orange sauceBlints with orange sauceMeanwhile, we are preparing the filling. Mix all ingredients until smooth. Again, if you want a smooth filling, use a blender. If you want to keep the graininess of the curd, just stir until smooth.
  • 5Blints with orange sauceAfter 10 minutes, remove the mold from the oven. The layer seized well and only slightly darkened.
  • 6Blints with orange sauceWe spread the filling in an even layer on the set pancake layer.
  • 7Blints with orange saucePour the second half of the dough on top.
  • 8Blints with orange sauceWe send to the oven for 30-40 minutes. The top layer has started to darken - the pancakes are ready. (Here my crack indicates my uneven top layer)
  • Orange sauce:
  • 9Blints with orange sauceFor the orange sauce, combine all the ingredients in a saucepan.
  • 10Blints with orange sauceWe put on fire, bring to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes, stirring, until thickened. The sauce is also ready.
  • 11Blints with orange sauceBefore cutting into portions, the pancakes must cool for at least 10 minutes in the pan. We serve pancakes both warm and cold
  • The author suggests eating them warm, but I prefer the cold option.
  • P.S. the original recipe used ricotta instead of cottage cheese

Gorgeous recipe. I also want to drop everything and run to cook. I will definitely try!

I confirm, a very worthwhile option!
You bake one and a half pancakes instead of a whole pile, and immediately with the filling!
Only I make the filling thinner, then it spreads in an even layer and the dough on top of it too.

I don’t know about yours, but my figure doesn’t give in to persuasion, although I’m constantly talking with her of this kind: Like, the cottage cheese is low-fat, and the pancakes are almost sugar-free ....)))

Olga, very nice and interesting! : rose: what is the size of the form (so that the portion does not fly by)?
