Cooking method

  • Dry the washed, thawed and peeled shrimp with a paper towel and drizzle with a mixture of soy sauce and lemon juice. Beat the yolk, pour in milk, add one and the other flour, soda, add sesame seeds and spices, mix well and carefully add the pre-beaten protein. The batter should be similar in consistency to pancake dough. We string the shrimp on skewers, dip in batter and alternately, holding the tip of the skewer, gently fry them in hot vegetable oil for a few seconds. Best served with a savory sauce, one of the options is in the recipe.

dopleta, I really want to try! Thank you!
What do you think, if wheat flour is replaced with potato starch or rice flour, will it work? Or, based on your culinary experience, simply increase the amount of corn flour (exclude wheat flour).
dopleta
Tanya, semolina is also excluded? Then I would add starch.
Tanya-Fanya
Larissa, thanks for the support! I do not want to translate the products, and there is still little experience in replacing wheat flour with various other flours. Yes, semolina is the same wheat, it is excluded.
We will try with potato starch.

dopleta-Larisa,
Thank you so much for the wonderful batter! I replaced wheat flour with potato starch and baked the cod loin in a slow cooker.
Delicious!
