Healing coniferous syrup from medicinal and spicy garden plants

Ingredients

Spruce and / or pine shoots from young trees by volume 2.5 l pan
Purified water (to cover the needles) 2 l
Granulated sugar 1 kg
Melissa and / or mint 2-3 twigs
Hyssop 5 twigs
Marigold flowers 20-30 pcs.
Ruta 3 twigs
Salvia officinalis 10 leaves
St. John's wort (optional) 2-3 inflorescences
Black currant leaves 10 pieces.
Juice and zest of large and sweet lemon 1 PC.

Cooking method

  • It's time for me to share my developments from the series
  • "Green Pharmacy".
  • I try to cook this syrup every summer in the summer, because in winter it becomes indispensable for our family during epidemics of influenza and acute respiratory infections and as an auxiliary and prophylactic agent, to replenish vitamins and increase immunity.
  • In addition, this syrup is also very tasty, so I give it out strictly in a tablespoon three times a day.
  • Healing coniferous syrup from medicinal and spicy garden plants
  • I filled one bottle with plants for beauty. Let's see how it will stand.
  • You can also add it to winter compotes or tea with raspberries and honey. The only thing is that when honey is added, the tea should have cooled down a little so that the healing properties of honey are preserved.
  • - We collect pine or spruce twigs in a clean forest that have grown this year.
  • - We wash and dry.
  • - We cut them so that they fit compactly into a saucepan of about 2.5 liters.
  • - Fill with boiling filtered water, cook on low heat for 20 minutes under a lid. We insist on the night.
  • - The next day we prepare containers for syrup. We wash the bottles with detergent, pour in soda and pour boiling water, after 10 minutes we rinse from the soda solution, boil with a little water in the microwave for five minutes. At the same time, bottles and jars should be covered with lids well washed with soda. It is not forbidden to boil the lids for five minutes in water for a greater guarantee.
  • - In the morning we filter the broth (this time I got exactly 1.5 liters of broth), in order to get rid of the cooked branches, bring to a boil, gradually add sugar, mix and add all the herbs and flowers, washed and dried, that are available. Cook over low heat for a couple of minutes, leave to infuse for 1-2 hours under the lid.
  • Healing coniferous syrup from medicinal and spicy garden plants
  • Then again bring to a boil, add lemon zest and juice, cook for five minutes, remove herbs and zest from syrup with a slotted spoon, boil for a minute and pour into sterile containers. We close immediately, check the lids for leaks, turn the jars over, wrap them upside down in newspapers, wrap them up and place them under pillows until they cool completely.
  • We take it in winter for recovery and prevention, as well as during colds, bronchitis, tracheitis.
  • Healing coniferous syrup from medicinal and spicy garden plants
  • Always be healthy and happy! And to drink this syrup only for preventive purposes and for a series of pleasure!

Note

Do not get carried away with mint, otherwise the mint flavor will prevail. A very aromatic and healthy syrup with a sweet and sour taste.
The lemon must be well washed with dishwashing detergent (I have it from the eco series), scalded with boiling water, well, unless, of course, you have organic lemons without processing for storage.
I store it in the refrigerator.

But with this, you can support yourself almost all year round, but it is tastier from young shoots. Although older shoots, that is, those that are closer to winter, contain more vitamin C.

Radushka
Wow! Already I can cook from needles! But, all other components are in stock! Thank you!
Rada-dms
Radushka, Radushka, weld even from needles, add more herbs, and everything will be ok!

Olenka, a healthy recipe, I just need a little clarification: should the coniferous twigs be just this year or still young, still light shoots?

Any, I cooked two days ago, already tough. I cooked it right with the branches, not at home, there was practically no light at all, so I didn't take a picture.

Straight with branches and boiled
yeah, I realized the heat will subside a little, I will make a sortie
Rada-dms
V-tina, yes, in the heat it is better not to pick herbs, especially for fermented tea, it has been tested repeatedly.
Look for young Christmas trees with your growth and below, and take branches from them.

But what if the heat is all the time? I already tear the leaves after the sun goes down! And you won't go to the forest in the evening!

You can, of course, you can, there will be a slightly resinous broth, but it's not scary. Write later if you do what happened!

Lydia, good health in the truest sense of the word, a recipe useful! Ruta on the left in the photo, such a carved twig, later I'll take a picture at the dacha and show it. Grown from seeds, it is growing for the third year, it does not freeze, but it grows slowly, so I'm saving it and not drying it for now.

Olya, the photos are very positive, sunny, bright and lively. And the syrup is a separate song, I really liked the composition and took it to the bookmarks. I'll try to collect the ingredients and cook.

Rada-dms, Glad, I have a related question. The mother-in-law has grown a sage. As it turned out from the photo on the internet, nutmeg.
The flowers were dried separately. Leaves separately. In the village there is no Internet, to ask what to do with them, then there was nowhere. How to use all this gold, except how to add flowers to tea? What do you advise?
IvaNova
Liked the recipe. But I don't know half of the herbs ((Ruta, sage, hyssop - no (although there is pharmacy sage, in filter bags). I will get "claws". Somewhere (in a tea gazebo, it seems), I read that chamomile can be added. Add ? Or maybe something else useful?

I have many proven recipes. I will publish later in a new section.
Now, not at home, but in the fees, it is necessary to indicate the parts that coexist harmoniously in the recipe.
For vskidku - for baths, for foot baths, brew with the addition of tea and drink like tea, this tea is good against excessive sweating and hot flashes, but not very strong.
I make homemade lotions for wiping the face and bactericidal antifungal for the feet after a bath. Powder in the composition of spices for pork or leaves - I warm up olive or butter oil with them and then for paste. With hypertension, you should not get carried away.
Of course, fresh is more fragrant! Can be stored in oil as Admin-Tanya.
Nutmeg and medicinal properties are similar.

And there is no heather in the surrounding forests? The plant is also unique.
You can have a little chamomile and more linden flowers! Strawberry stalks can and can be tasted cherry stalks. It will be fragrant and useful!
