Sweetheart, Tanechka, well, that's great. You MUST do it. Just read the first page about tea carefully and, with God's help, start. If something is not clear in Temka about tea, ask the girl questions. They will definitely answer The main thing is not to worry, the tea will be GREAT !!!! Good luck!
Mila1
Girls, found interesting information about dried strawberries.
I'll write here.
Dried strawberries retain all their useful properties for two years of storage. Dried berries are especially valuable for the content of pectin acids, which contribute to the elimination of toxins from the body. It is useful to use during the period of exacerbation of seasonal diseases, namely late autumn and early spring. Also, dried strawberries are famous as a powerful antidepressant.

So be sure to dry the strawberries! I really like chips
Venera007
Any form of strawberry is a powerful antidepressant! Fresh, berries from jam ... And dried and dried in general will be out of competition

Lyudmila, put the strawberries to dry, but some of the berries have crawled out. Well, not what, we ate them. I made 800 grams of strawberries for testing. But the most delicious syrup, the sea remains. What is the best way to preserve it?
Mila1
Deva, Helen, me and those few berries. which crawled, put them to dry, they dried out intact And I added the syrup to a boil and poured it into bottles with processed alcohol under spinning And then you can dilute and soak the cakes and add a little bit to apples or zucchini for pastille

MilaThe bottles can be sterilized in a micron. Pour pure water (I use filtered) into a bottle, 70-100 ml is enough. and put the bottle on its side (so that water does not pour out of the neck) and sterilize at full power for about 5-7 minutes
Mila1
Admin, Tanechka, I know that. But I’m much more comfortable with alcohol. In 5 minutes, I will rinse 20 cans with lids together. I pour 50 grams and take turns rinsing everything with this alcohol. I've been doing this for many years
Admin

This is where so much alcohol is given to disinfect bottles? Addresses, passwords, studio attendance
You just can't ask for anything in the pharmacy
Deva
Lyudmila, thanks for the information. Today I baked Sonadorina brioche, and with this syrup we screwed them on. Delicious. It's good that you can save it. And for the impregnation of cakes, it is generally super. In the cellar, I think it can be stored?
Mila1
Admin, Tanya, if there is no alcohol, then you can use vodka ... works well too

Deva, Helen. I generally keep it in the apartment. And you can also pour it into trays and into the freezer, it does not even freeze into ice there. I often take out a tray, take the syrup into a glass with a spoon and dilute it with water
Deva
All freezers to the eyeballs. Therefore, only in the cellar.

Mila1 thanks a lot for the recipe)
just in time for the strawberry chips I have already dried ... and here is the beauty ...
ran to do. I gained 3.5 kg of strawberries .... I didn't read the branch until the end, thumped into one basin .... it's hard to shake, yeah ...
now I'm already cooking the syrup) in the next batch I will make 2 heaps)))

I do according to 1 recipe)
Strawberries are their own. caliber is different.
Mila1
klya4a, Vera, great! It's okay that in one basin, a wooden scapula can be gently mixed Even if some berries get crumpled or fall apart, they can also be put with a cake to dry They grip and keep their shape normally Then tell us how it happened
klya4a
and, yes, thanks, I interfered with them with a wooden scoop.the basin with sugar yesterday fell asleep in the morning, all the same, everything was swimming in the juice) in the morning I shook them with a scoop) now the process of cooling the strawberries in syrup).
along the way, the strawberry leaves ran away and the strawberry pulled) there are many stalks left I will try the tea)
Mila1
klya4a, Vera, then write about tea too. I haven't made the stalks yet ... lie in the freezer ... there are no other leaves yet
klya4a
here is yesterday's sugar-covered strawberries ... different varieties. I liked Queen Elizabeth the remontant best of all. her structure is more rigid. and it is more convenient to dry it in chips. does not stick very much) In the photo there is a first-year strawberry bush)
Dried strawberries Dried strawberries

I'll write how it goes ... and I haven't made any tea at all ... I read about the stalks and decided to make ... and how many of them were thrown away (((again, thanks for the tip. About tea I began to read all the cases stopped ...

klya4a
yeah .. I will ... we have here and irga and forest blackberries) raspberries, currants, pears, different grapes, high, apple trees ... the neighbors have cherries ... oh, I'll rip off) not all at once ... of course .. ...
and where to look how to insert pictures? I did not find a search

I was walking around the garden in search of a leaf of strawberries, I came across rhubarb .... they tried to make it out of it? ... did anyone even do it?
Mila1
When you write a message, press the preview, it will be red on top, in my opinion, it is written to insert the author's photo into the message. Click, then click the review * on the right below), select a photo from your pack in your computer, then click download the file below with a green checkmark, the photo will appear on your screen, and above it there are 2 links. Here you copy the first link and paste it into your message. If you need to add several photos, click on the review and do everything the same way. Then you also send a message. Good luck!

From rhubarb I did not need to ask the girls in the topic about tea. they will answer
klya4a
oh, Lyudmila, thank you very much! figured out the pictures)
I don't see red letters point-blank)
Mila1
klya4a,
Valerka
Mila1, I will not say about chips. But there are rhubarb pies with strawberries on sale. I can just guess if the strawberries are boiled with the rhubarb together, there might be an effect.
minali
Mila1, oh, how your recipe is on time, I have already lost count of which batch I wither. The whole family liked the berries, and since the strawberries are their own and the harvest needs to be processed, they should be dried. I did it for the first time and the juice remained, which was released after falling asleep with sugar. And then I caught sight of a little frozen pumpkin (the new season is coming soon, and I haven't used up the old one). It was she who put it into this strawberry juice with sugar after thawing, and then the drying technology. Brought to a boil and left to infuse, and so a couple of times, and then into the dryer. When the candied pumpkin fruits were ready, they frankly didn't like it very much, but after standing the night it seems to me that the taste changed, they ate it instantly. Now the syrup has been poured into jars, we are waiting for zucchini and pumpkin, I will definitely make more zucchini and candied pumpkin.
Mila1
minali, Natasha. I'm very glad that I liked the dried strawberries. I don't have a summer residence. I buy everything, but I have already piled 4 12 liter buckets. Even my friends who were skeptical about the dryer ordered them after they tried strawberries from me
Many thanks for the idea with candied pumpkin seeds. I'll try too. In the spring when I freed the freezer for a new harvest. used sugar syrup from under dried cherries (I had it frozen) for marshmallow, added to pumpkin, zucchini, apples

Hello girls! What good fellows you are, you cook such delicious treats! I read Temka carefully, she turned up for me in time.I have already made 10 liters of jam from small forest strawberries, my husband tearfully asks to stop, and the berry on the beloved slope is all singing and singing! A lot and small, with a nail. I'll try to wither, I have an isidri dryer. Maybe someone was cooking from small berries? As a result? I'm a little worried, and so the berries are not big, but they will dry out, probably like cereals.
Mila1
svetn, Svetochka, I didn't even try it It will seem very small to me. I dried part, froze part without sepals, and rubbed part through passavedura, mixed mashed potatoes with sugar and into the freezer, and dried the remaining seeds with sepals in flat cakes in Isidri and in a jar, add to tea. You can still make marshmallow from mashed potatoes
A.lenka
Ludmila, I'm with a report.

For the recipe - Grand Merci!
Delicious!
She treated everyone to a berry - and hid it ...
Mila1
A.lenka, Lenochka, thanks for the photo So looks like mine Enlarged the photo 2 times and sat looking at it and licked my lips I also hid it for my grandchildren

rhubarb .... have you tried to make it out of it? ... has anyone ever done it?
klya4a,
About rhubarb tea - be careful with that. Once, walking in the local botanical garden, I came across a planting designated as "poisonous plants", and among them - rhubarb. I was very surprised, googled - it turns out that he has a poisonous green leafy part, where toxins accumulate. The red stems are completely edible.
Mila1
tinaff, Thanks for the information
yule4ka
Good day! I read the recipe with great interest, thanks to the author. In this regard, two questions have emerged:
1) can frozen berries wither?
2) how and what to store chips and dried strawberries?
Thank you in advance.
Mila1
yule4ka, Yulechka, I don’t even know what to say about the frozen ones I didn’t do. Would they be deoxidized? If only they were sprinkled with sugar while still frozen
I store them in glass jars with a metal lock, with a tight-fitting lid and Aquacontrol Tupper containers. They are well stored .. I have dried berries since last year.
Irina_Smith
Thank you so much. Did it, it turned out with 1 kg of fresh - 230 gr of dried strawberries. If you count, here 1 kg of jerky costs 25 euros, and a homemade one turned out for 20 euros, then a pretty good difference, plus all the same I see what and how I put it and mine turned out to be more beautiful than the purchased one. While we have the season here, I will make another 2 kg portion. Thanks again !!!
Dried strawberries

for comparison, purchased cut and mine whole, in my opinion, the difference is obvious

You have made a wonderful strawberry !!! I'm glad the recipe came in handy))) Do you have strawberry season already?

Aaaaaa .. strawberries !!! We still only dream about it

we have a season in February-March, but this year the rains are lingering, so a little later. And yes, here in Cyprus the seasons seem to be 2 months earlier than at home (in Moldova).
