Apple juice jam with lavender

Ingredients

Freshly squeezed apple juice 2.5 tbsp.
Agar-agar * 1-1.5 tsp
Dry lavender 2 tsp
Sugar 1/2 tbsp.
Lemon juice 2 tsp
Glass 250 ml.

Cooking method

  • Mix freshly squeezed apple juice with lemon juice. Add sugar and agar-agar, mix well. Put a saucepan on the fire, bring to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. If foam appears, remove it. Add dried lavender flowers, simmer for another 2-3 minutes. Turn off the fire. Pour the jam into a clean glass jar, cool completely and enjoy

Note

* The author has 3 tbsp. l pectin + 3 tbsp. l sugar. The first time I got a thin jelly, apparently, the pectin was not of high quality. Therefore, for the second time I replaced pectin with agar-agar. If you need the consistency of jam, as in my photo, then you need to take 1.5 tsp of agar. if you need a thinner jam, then take 1 tsp agar without a slide.

The jam turned out to be very tasty, not cloying and very aromatic. Of course, you can take the juice from the store, but with freshly squeezed it tastes better. The recipe was found in the American blog
