I chop the candied fruits and pour boiling water for 15 minutes. Then she drained the water (it will come in handy to grease the top of the cake before baking).
  • I dried the candied fruits and rolled them in flour.
  • I put them aside for a while.
  • In a glass, she mixed milk with an egg with a fork and poured the mixture into a bucket of a bread machine.
  • I also put softened (not melted) butter and a pinch of salt there.
  • I mixed sifted flour with yeast, sugar, vanilla sugar and turmeric.
  • I poured this mixture on top of the liquid into a bucket.
  • Mode 5. SOFT DOUGH, crust color LIGHT,
  • Time 2 hours 25 minutes.
  • She covered the window of the bread machine with foil.
  • In 2 hours 15 minutes before the end of the regime, at the signal, added candied fruits.
  • For 1 hour 55 minutes, she took out the dough mixer.
  • In 1 hour 05 minutes I smeared the top of the cake with sweet water from candied fruits.
  • I put the finished cake ON SIDE, on the wire rack, covered with a towel and turned it over from side to side a couple of times while cooling down.

Yes, it is very neutral and baked milk gives a homemade flavor.
Only I would put a little less turmeric next time, the color is beautiful, but you can feel turmeric a little bit with its light spike

Oksana, beautiful Easter cake, well done! And how tall for our baby. Well, I have no doubt that it is delicious. We will definitely try.

This cake reminds me of those cakes that my grandmother baked during the Soviet era.
The difference is that there is no yeast smell at all.
I made it on trial, in order to understand the capabilities of our * tiny Thumbelina *. Now I put the second one, already with cottage cheese, zest, on the yolks, if everything works out as easily as with this, I will definitely post the recipe.

Oh, I saw, with the height I sealed: oops: eh, of course 13 cm height, not 23
Lagri
I just realized that 23 cm is a lot, because the bucket is about 12 cm high. We will wait for another cake for our baby.
please
Very beautiful Easter cake!
