Rice pudding

Ingredients

Milk 500 ml
Sugar 60-100 gr.
Salt 1/4 tsp
Vanillin
Round rice 100 g
Additives to taste: fresh or frozen berries, canned fruits
(option) If desired, coconut flakes + more milk 0.5-1 tbsp. l. + 100 ml.
(optional) You can add dried fruits, nuts
(option) Cottage cheese tender without cooking 2-3 st. l.

Cooking method

  • I suggest you try a very tasty rice dish. I cook it both in a multicooker and on the stove. Rice is more caramel on the stove. In a slow cooker, it is more boiled and snow-white. Choose any method, but be sure to try it.
  • How to cook in a multicooker, see the link below. Now I will show you how to cook on a gas stove. For some reason I like it more.
  • This is the kind of rice I like to take for pudding. It doesn't have to be expensive, although it would be great to use arborio or carnaroli. But you can buy good rice not too expensive - the main thing is to choose.
  • Rice pudding
  • Pour milk into a ladle with a thick bottom, add sugar, salt, vanillin.
  • We put on the stove and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to almost minimum, add rice. Of course, it's better not to wash the rice! All starch will go away with water. But once I still rinse in a colander with cold water very quickly. Trying to shake off the water well.
  • Cook for about 30-45 minutes. Stir constantly. The color goes from snow-white to caramel. At first it will seem that there is a lot of liquid. But gradually the rice will absorb the milk and the mass will thicken. Cook until tender.
  • Rice pudding
  • The rice should become soft, and the liquid should be almost completely absorbed into it. Let cool until warm. For those who love the silk tenderness of rice, I recommend chopping the mass with the foot of a blender. Get the most tender tenderness. I prefer grains per tooth.
  • Put on a plate using a ring.
  • A little advice. The ring is an expensive piece. I have adapted a cut-out plastic Ricotta cream cheese jar, which I cover with cling film. I put the food there, crush it and turn it on a plate, remove the film. It turns out great!

  • As a sauce I have grated defrosted strawberries with sugar. I covered the top with my beloved curd without cooking... Garnished with canned peach.
