Tomato soup with chickpeas (for Zigmund & Shtain MC-DS42IH)

Ingredients

Chickpea 125 gr.
Canned Tomatoes 1 small. bank
Carrot 3 pcs.
Garlic 3 cloves
Ginger 2 cm root
Garam masala mix ½ tsp
Vegetable oil 2 tbsp. l.
A hen 2 fillets or chicken legs
Salt taste
Ground black pepper taste
Greens for decoration
Bay leaf 1 PC.

Cooking method

  • 1) Soak the chickpeas in cold water overnight.
  • 2) Boil the chickpeas for an hour until cooked in 1 liter of water on the "Soup / Stew" mode.
  • 3) Finely chop the garlic, cut the ginger into strips, cut the carrots into thin slices, cut the meat into slices.
  • 4) Pour 2 tbsp into the bottom of the bowl. l. vegetable oil and turn on the "Fry" mode for 10 minutes. Place the ginger and garlic in a multicooker bowl and cook for 2 minutes. Add carrots and sauté for another 3 minutes. Then add the meat and fry until the end of the program. Do not forget to mix everything with a special spatula.
  • 5) Add boiled chickpeas, add 1.5 liters of water and turn on the "Stew" mode for 1 hour.
  • 6) Peel the tomatoes and add them to the soup. Turn on the "Extinguishing" mode for 1 hour 15 minutes.
  • 7) Add salt, bay leaf and garam masala. Turn on the "Extinguishing" mode for another 15 minutes.
  • When the soup is ready, add the chopped greens and let sit for at least 5 minutes.

Note

This soup can also be cooked on the stove. Take a saucepan with a thick bottom and simmer the soup over very low heat.

This is an amazingly delicious soup !! At least for my husband. There is everything that the husband loves: chickpeas, a sea of ​​spices. And no potatoes. But she put a big, very large tomato - her own, garden, frozen. Sweet, but still half a spoonful of sugar added.
Of course, I do not have this mysterious mixture of "garam masala", so I searched the Internet and found what it consists of. I added everything that is included in it in microscopic quantities (I understand that there are also proportions there, but I went the simplest way): star anise, cloves, allspice, cumin, cardamom, spicy curry, coriander, cinnamon, nutmeg, cumin , black pepper ... I can't stand this stinking mess.
But even I really liked the soup !!
Pity that lada-matushka has not appeared on the site for two and a half years already, it will not even be possible to thank.
