Delia Smith Fish Casserole

Ingredients

Fillet of white fish (I have pollock) 500 g
Potatoes 500 g
Cheese 30 g
For salsa verde sauce:
Garlic 1 tooth
Salt 1/2 tsp
Anchovies (not used) 2 pcs
Canned capers 2 tsp
Parsley 50 g
Basil (not used) 2 tbsp. l.
Olive oil 2 tbsp. l.
Lemon juice 1.5 tbsp. l.
Black pepper pinch

Cooking method

  • For the sauce for parsley, cut off the leaves, chop in a food processor or chopper. Add capers, chop again. Add oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper, garlic passed through a press. Mix everything thoroughly.
  • Cut the potatoes on a slicer at the smallest thickness. I did it on Berner. Divide potatoes into 2 pieces.
  • Put the first part "with tiles" in a greased mold. Salt.
  • Top with chopped fish fillets.
  • On top of the fish sauce.
  • Delia Smith Fish Casserole
  • Next is the remaining potatoes and grated cheese.
  • Delia Smith Fish Casserole
  • Bake in an oven preheated to 220C for about 30 minutes. I cooked in Princesk for 15 minutes from a cold one, plus 5 minutes in a switched-off oven under the lid.
  • Delia Smith Fish Casserole
  • It turned out very quickly, tasty and aromatic! Despite the fact that in our village I did not find anchovies and basil.)))

The dish is designed for

2 servings

Note

The recipe from Delia Smith's book "HOW TO COOK meat, poultry, fish, chocolate, fruits ..." I saw in Lena's LiveJournal 🔗

Mmmmm! What a salsa verde sauce! Delicious! And I just love pollock.
So, I am urgently preparing the planned fish cakes from the Rada, and then this delicious casserole! It will be time to add anchovies, capers and basil.
Thanks for the recipe!

Really? I remembered a joke from Soviet times: if you are a Soviet person, you must eat a silver hake

Tricia, thank you, I don't like pollock, but under such a sauce he went for a sweet soul!

kavmins, if without capers and anchovies, then you can also sour cream, but it will be superfluous.
