Help me choose a kettle. 5 years ago we bought a plastic "ladomir", served it with faith and truth, and then the plastic began to crumble. Friends gave me a kettle in the summer. Mulinex stainless steel. His lid constantly opens without our knowledge. It starts to boil and opens from the shaking. I'm tired of it. We bought a "ladomir" stainless steel. After two months, the lid, on the contrary, stopped opening - or it opened with difficulty, and then, to top it all off, the drip and the bottom ring began to fall off. We handed it over to the store without any problems - the money was returned. Now I don’t know what to take: the choice is huge, but I’m afraid of similar problems with previous teapots. We need one so that the plastic does not stink. And so that it is not glass, I will break it. And, of course, reliability.
I really hope for your help!!!!

For some reason, from the teapots, I prefer Philips - one served for a long time, the second was already tired, but everything works, I gave it to my mother to the dacha, bought a new one, but again Philips. I like their Cucina series in general.

musyanya, look at teapots with a "name" - Panasonic, Kenwood, Philips, these firms are trying to keep the quality mark.
See also thermo pots, a very handy thing instead of a kettle ...

I'll go and look at the named models, otherwise the moulinex started to heat up in the morning - it boiled, the lid opened, the steam was knocking down, the lid was closed from the sixth time, and because of it, it could not turn off. ...
For some reason I don't like thermo-pots.
And then you will have to sniff all the teapots in the store again, sniff the refrigerators, the sellers had fun.

brown teapot, in a plastic case. to me personally, it does not smell. I also smell everything and odors seem strange

I have been plowing tefal vitesse for the 8th year! True, recently they also presented Phillips with a "bell" ... now we use two, I did not notice the smell from either of them ...

And I have Tefal with a golden spiral (I don't know, of course, how golden it is there), but it was bought in 1996 and it still works, there are no complaints, t-t-t

And I wonder if there are teapots with a built-in thermometer, otherwise Panasonic's thermopot attracts me only because it can heat water to a given temperature, I don't need boiling water for making white tea, I just need 70 degrees.
And the thermopot itself, with its usual functions, as such, I do not need at all, but I don’t need to buy it because of one thermometer.

Apparently there is. Have you been to a store recently and saw kettles with button / buttons? different temperatures. I saw it in passing, so the details are not for me

Yes, I have such a kettle - Binatone NK-7700

I have a Vitek kettle (VT-1146 SR) There is a temperature regime, I will conveniently tell you ... It shimmers very nicely when heated. Those who have small children will like the multi-colored rainbow when heated ..
julifera
Ksusha, Midnight lady, sweeta - thanks, now I will take a closer look
Although I am a supporter of non-plastic teapots, and stainless ones, because from this plastic so much muck goes into the water over time, as it wears out.
sweeta
Mine has a large part from stainless steel and a small insert made of "rainbow plastic" (changes color when heated)
Rina
Even in non-plastic teapots, water is still in contact with plastic (the scale for indicating the amount of water is plastic).
I have plowed 3 kW brown for five years, yesterday I ordered to live long. Now I sit and think - look for the same one or try something different?
alyona
And I, like Wort Tefal with a gilded spiral has been plowing since the 90s. And the plastic is whole. Probably still a native assembly ...

I also thought about buying a new kettle.
Zlata
Recently we also bought a new kettle. What was needed was not a plastic kettle, and besides, it was not noisy. As a result, we bought BORK, which does not make noise. Very satisfied, really does not make noise.

I bought a kettle Mirta KTL130 at FOZZY today.

Electric kettle

I bought it for my husband to work, I liked the price 160 UAH, promotional. And so the prices for this model in online stores are from 334 to 350 UAH.

And he turned out to be so "smart": with an LCD display, it can heat up to any temperature (from 400 up to 1000). And there is a mode of maintaining any temperature from this range.

In short, I kept it for the kitchen.
Margit
Instead of a teapot tired of long work, Phillips bought a thermopot. I like it very much, there is always hot water. I measured it several times with a thermometer, in a heated state the water temperature was 97.8 - 98. Thermo pot is the simplest, not fancy Scarlett Silver Line, for three liters of water. I think I will never return to the kettle, for me and my family it turned out to be much more convenient and practical to use a thermopot.

Beautiful, Luysia, well done for leaving. I, too, for stainless steel, although now I have plastic (bought for the duration of the rest, and we use the 5th year)
Thermopots are more suitable for me too. In general, I love the electric samovar, especially in the summer in the yard and for guests. I have 2 of them and do not spoil and create a mood. And for parents, so finally cool, which is heated on coals with a boot - for especially solemn occasions.

Good night everyone, I have been choosing an electric kettle for a long time and chose the kMix SJM031 kettle from the kMix SJM031 series red (for the style of the kitchen) and + metal, not plastic
Lapa899
I bought myself a Bork with five temperature settings, as I love good tea, and different varieties need water of different temperatures. And it also has a handy feature - the temperature support function. that is, if the kettle starts to boil, and I cannot immediately go up and brew tea, then the same water temperature will be maintained for another 20 minutes.

it is very necessary to purchase a road electric kettle in the shortest possible time
And I would just tune in to one-time ..
On the road, you can often lose reading.
Or crush.
If not you, then the movers will try at the airport.
I bought a baby for 500 grams in the Metro.
It was even without auto shutdown.
Stupid wire and button.
And it boils! By the way, it was possible to cook dumplings in it :-) As in good Soviet teapots :-)
In short, a crumb and VERY cheap.
So much so that even LEAVING him at the resting place was not a pity :-)
But minus one - the wire was very short :-( And they saved on it :-)
Vladzia
I bought a tiny Vitek on the road, as I often have to stop at hotels on trips. I bought it cheap, so that it would not be a pity if I lose it or break down quickly. But he has been plowing for 6-7 years already. With auto shutdown. Of the minuses - the cord is short and when it boils, water can gurgle from the spout (it is better to substitute something). They are on sale now.

Krosh, I had disposable non-name ones. Since the temperature sensors quickly ordered to live and the kettle then worked just like a boiler, that is, until it was turned off by a person, or one was a non-name tidy one, so it began to leak. I solved the problem "in the Soviet style" - a mug + a small boiler (the second one is always in reserve). I have traveled a lot with such a set, but so far I have only found the best option. Hotzza is also reliable, affordable and unbreakable

Kroshik, Inus, in Eldorado and M-video there is a small Tefal, 0.5 liters.

And my Phillips died after three years of operation ... like this:

I have one too. The third year poshol, God forbid, still hold out. I really wanted to buy a coffee machine from the same series for him, but the old machine won't break. It was this teapot that Tefal - she specially kept a photo for herself somewhere - was crumpled in a travel bag, the lower part was shredded, if I find it tomorrow, I'll show it.
He is flimsy, so I refused it, I do not recommend it.

I bought a long time ago Kenwood JK 060 road, this:

Electric kettle

Everything in it is super reliable and powerful, and even there is protection against turning on empty without water, and you can see how much water has been poured, it's a dream, not a kettle.
But a bummer - after 3 years the coating began to peel off, although I drove it every day at work, but always with filtered water, and the guys sometimes shamelessly poured water into it from the tap, the kettle could not bear such an amount of salt at the bottom, they cleaned off the salt together with the bottom coating, it is somehow like coal.
So I do not recommend Kenwood either, it will quickly accumulate from water with salts.

Now I'm looking at small stainless steel Viteks, like this, but I haven't bought it yet:

Kroshik, Inus, I'm sorry I disappeared and didn't answer. It was at such a teapot that Tefalevsky herself looked, but now I have to look at other brewsIntam.

Lemusik, and now I know why they flow. Below is a sealing gum (during the parsing it was reached), it also becomes covered with scale and begins to lose its insulating properties. If the kettle is properly driven out with anti-scale, the flow stops for some time.

My saga with a teapot is over, although my husband never made it to the store for a condender (it requires long legs, and my husband has only short ones in the bins). Through the online store Eldorado bought this Boshik:

By the way, they now have a discount of 1200 rubles

That yes, unfortunately now Scarlet's teapots are very fragrant

I had, and actually still lives in the garage, a 1 liter Scarlet kettle, plastic, bought 6 years ago - there was absolutely no smell, it still works, but the truth does not turn off for a long time when the water boils, but even the spiral did not peel off.
All the same, at first, they did it much better than now.

About 2 years ago they gave me a 1 liter plastic kettle Gorenie - the smell is present, after several boils with lemon it did not disappear - the kettle settled in the closet, and has been living there for 2 years.

Yes, I searched and did not find anything

But I already bought Dex-metal with backlight, it glows cool and the main thing is there is no smell at all. While I am satisfied with the quality, a full kettle boils in 5 minutes, though a little noisy. They say that this is a problem for all stainless steel kettles. Before that there was Tefal, as for me it makes a little louder noise, but this is not problematic.
