Steamed dumplings

Ingredients

milk 200 ml
butter 50 g
egg 1 PC
sugar 1 tsp
salt 0.5 tsp
dry yeast 1.5 tsp.
flour how much dough will take
plums or other fruits
sour cream

Cooking method

  • Boil milk and leave to cool. While the milk is cooling, melt the butter.
  • Add sugar to warm milk, mix well to melt sugar and add yeast. Carefully pour in warm melted butter and add egg. Beat everything well. Add flour and salt and knead a light, soft dough. Sift the flour from as high as possible directly into the kneading, because in the process of falling, the flour is saturated with oxygen and the dough turns out to be thicker.
  • Leave the dough in a warm place for 1 hour to come up.
  • While our dough comes up, prepare the filling - remove the seeds from the plums, cut into cubes.
  • When our dough has come up and doubled, you can start making dumplings. We take a part of the dough, form a sausage, which is cut into identical pieces. Roll out each piece, put it inside the plum, sprinkle it with sugar and starch, cover it up.
  • Cook in a double boiler for 10-12 minutes - 5-6 minutes on one side, then turn over to the other side and cook for another 5-6 minutes.
  • Serve to the table hot, pouring sour cream whipped with sugar on top. Bon Appetit!!!

Time for preparing:

long, but very tasty

Cooking program:

double boiler

Note

You can put any filling - apples, pears, plums, ground poppy seeds (very tasty). In winter, I do it with frozen fruits - they defrost it, let the juice drain, and when I make dumplings, I sprinkle more starch. Delicious with blueberries in winter. I freeze it specially for this recipe.

I often steam yeast dumplings with fruit. If you open the still undercooked dumplings, they settle, so I put them in the multicooker bowl at a distance, because the dough is suitable during cooking, and I open it after 15 minutes. The dumplings are lush. Delicious even when cold. The author of the recipe is well done, dumplings are lovely to see. Happy Old New Year everyone!

hoziaika, Elizabeth, and cook on what mode in the cartoon, for a couple? And how many?. As I understand it, you still do not open 15 minutes after the end of the regime, right?
Galya, thanks for the recipe.

I cook dumplings in a double boiler there, the boiling begins immediately, and if you cook in a multitool, pour boiling water into the bowl so as not to waste time heating the water. When the water boils, then put the dumplings on the top rack greased with vegetable oil, close the lid and open after 15 minutes. When I didn't have these devices, I built a so-called double boiler from a sieve over a saucepan and always with a tight lid. When I was cooking for the first time, I decided to check how my dumplings were there, opened it ahead of time and they fell off, and my friend suggested that it was impossible to open until cooked, then they would be fluffy, because the dough is yeast. After the dumplings are ready, grease with butter and sprinkle with sugar. I rarely cook in a cartoon for a couple, because of the small volume, in a double boiler there are still 2 floors, it turns out a lot at once.In my cartoon there is a steaming mode. Good luck.
