Secret Ingredient Sandwiches

Ingredients

baguette
butter
ketchup
parsley (dried)
dill (dried)
cheese
garlic
vegetable oil

Cooking method

  • Cover a baking sheet with parchment and put the chopped baguette on it. Grease each piece with butter, it's good if it stands a little at room temperature, then it will be much easier to do this. Spread ketchup on top of the butter, sprinkle with herbs and grated cheese. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes at 180 C.
  • While the sandwiches are baking, you need to cook the secret ingredient. To do this, mix a tablespoon of vegetable oil with crushed or chopped garlic and let it brew a little.
  • When the sandwiches are baked, gently dipping a fork into the oil, grease them.

Note

Once I found this not cunning recipe on the Internet. At that time, the composition of the ingredients seemed to me just insane. I still don't understand what made me cook them, probably the boring sandwiches with sprats that were on the table every holiday. And then, something new and, as it turned out, very tasty. Nowadays, more than one holiday cannot do without them. I always cook a triple portion of sandwiches, and still it turns out to be few. I am still amazed how, with this composition, they can be so delicious.
