Tart Taten with bananas and dates

Ingredients

puff pastry (yeast-free / yeast-free) 1 sheet
bananas 2 pcs
dates 7 pcs
butter 40 g
brown sugar 1/3 cup
cream (fatty) 1/4 cup

Cooking method

  • Place the butter, sugar, and cream in a heavy-bottomed saucepan and heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is completely dissolved. Do not bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat to low and simmer until sauce thickens slightly.
  • Pour the prepared sauce into a mold (size 22-25 cm). On it, distribute the bananas, cut diagonally, and the dates cut into two parts (remove the pit).
  • Cover the top with a sheet of puff pastry.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and caramel sauce simmer.
  • Leave the tart in the pan for 3 minutes (do not hold it for long, otherwise it will be difficult to remove from it), and then quickly turn it over onto a serving platter.
  • Serve warm with cold whipped cream or ice cream.

Gala, Galina!
Thanks for reminding us about this article! I did it before, but only with a banana ... now I will have to try adding dates!
Bookmarked!

Borisyonok,
Elena, I also made different baked goods with bananas, but here dates definitely bring an original note in combination with bananas, so I decided to share this quick recipe.

Galina, thanks a lot for the recipe! I have already done it more than once with bananas, but today I decided to try it with apples, walnuts and raisins, very tasty! Only if done with apples, you need less sauce.
