Cooking method

  • Beat sugar with eggs until fluffy. Add sifted flour + baking powder, vanilla sugar, mix gently with a spatula. Melt the butter, pour hot into the dough and stir until smooth. Pour the dough on the rug, put peeled tangerine slices on top of the dough. Unfortunately, I had only four tangerines, well, at least one more is needed. Yes, and one more thing, tangerines need to be peeled from the white film very carefully. This is perhaps the most dreary stage.
  • The dough was poured into a cold oven. She baked until a dry speck of toothpicks for ~ 20 minutes, plus ten minutes the cake ripened in the turned off oven.
  • While the cake was baking, I prepared the icing. Add a little lemon juice to the icing sugar until the icing has acquired the consistency of sour cream. Pour glaze over the hot cake.
  • The frosting is a must on this cake and don’t just sprinkle the cake with icing sugar.
  • The pie is very tender and delicious.

She's not quite frozen yet, because the cake is still warm. True, I did not make the icing according to the recipe, but simply added enough powdered sugar to achieve the desired thickness. It turned out delicious, the orange note is strong, so it is quite possible to do if there is no extra lemon.
