Whoever follows the life of the site knows that chickpeas are now in use with us. Or rather, not chickpeas, but a decoction from it. The peas themselves also need to be attached somewhere. So the recipe for such cutlets was born. It turned out very tasty. If you do not cook during fasting, then you can add an egg. Recommend!

What a wonderful, tasty and healthy food! Thank you, Angela!
NatalyMur
Delicious! I will do it! Thanks Angel!
ang-kay
Galina, Natalia, thank you and good luck! I hope you give it a try and you enjoy it.
Svetlenki
What beautiful and healthy vegetable cutlets !!!

I pester you with questions again:

Angelado you think chickpeas will go in cans? I get it for the price - the same thing as buying ready-made chickpeas in a jar, or buying dry chickpeas and cooking it myself. Can you use chickpea broth from this jar, or not?

Quote: ang-kay
Boil potatoes, make mashed potatoes.

Are they just potatoes without water and oil? Dry in mashed potatoes through a grinder, huh?

Quote: ang-kay
Grate the carrots on the finest grater.

Raw?

Angela, what did you wear? Sooooo nice it turned out

Angela, thanks to your recipes, many now dare to fast! Thank you, you are doing a good deed !!
marina-mm
Angela, how wonderful! I want so much variety in the post, thanks for the idea!
ninza
Angela, thanks for the great recipe! Can you use chickpea flour instead of whole chickpeas? It's just that now I only have chickpea flour, and I really want your cutlets.
ang-kay
Olenka, Marinka and Ninochka, thanks for paying attention to the recipe. Fasting food is absolutely not difficult. Harder with a soul.

Nina, directly stumped. If you make flour, I think you can try it.
I made a wonderful chickpea tortilla according to Arki's recipe recipe here... Only I did it with mushrooms and onions
Potato-chickpea cutlets (lean)Delicious.
This I mean that chickpea flour is used in the recipe.
ninza
Thank you my dear for the answer. I need to buy chickpeas and make cutlets.

Chickpea flour is much more expensive - we have 500g 70r worth, and then you won't find it. And chickpeas - 60r / kg. On the contrary, I try to replace flour with chickpea puree in recipes. She even bought a mill for her Mumik to grind chickpeas, but everyone's hands don't reach while there is ready flour.
And I don't combine chickpeas with potatoes buuuuudu (with the voice of the cat Matroskin), I use chickpeas INSTEAD of potatoes in dishes (Angela)

ang-kay, Angela!
We love potato cutlets, now we need to make them with our favorite chickpeas!
I took the recipe to the bins!
ang-kay
Lenochka, hopefully useful.

Angela, thank you for the wonderful recipes!
Healthy and tasty food makes people healthier and kinder!
ang-kay
Ira, Thanks for the kind words. I am very pleased.

Well, the recipe came in handy for me today. I was thinking about what to cook for dinner, but he drew the recipe. Angela, thanks!
I had mashed chickpeas with cumin and sesame seeds, made hummus and it turned out a bit too much. It was necessary to attach.
I cooked the potatoes in the microwave without water and passed it through the press, grated the carrots. She rolled the cutlets in semolina and fried them in the oven. Tasty, everyone is full and happy.
Oh, but I didn't add flour (I forgot, and the cutlets were well stuck together).
ang-kay
Marina, that's great. Thanks for sharing. I'm glad the recipe came in handy.
Tumanchik
Angela what delicious cutlets! If only I could learn to grow this chickpea here - it's an expensive infection.
But so many use cases! Even a decoction. Thanks for sharing!
ang-kay
Tumanchik, thanks for stopping by. Ours is like rice. Sometimes you can buy.

nicho se. and we have at least twice as expensive, or even three.
Svetlenki
Angela, thank you. As always, very tasty, healthy and easy to prepare. I added smoked bacon fried in a pan, egg. The mass was cooled in the refrigerator. The discovery was the semolina breading - excellent!

Potato-chickpea cutlets (lean)
ang-kay
Sveta, you've already made a delicacy. I fried the bacon. I'm glad that we liked it and thanks for the wonderful tasty report.
Semolina is an excellent bread batter for such dishes.
Svetlenki
Angela, I was motivated by the fear that the small ones would twist their nose from the unusual taste, and bacon with legumes seemed to be nothing at all ... Children so far unconditionally eat only green beans and green peas from legumes. I missed it in early childhood, and now your recipes help "introduce vegetables to the masses," so to speak
ang-kay
Clear. But I did not catch a chickpea note in them. Maybe I have something with the receptors?
Svetlenki
Angela, and I, as a beginner, caught ... Before that I just made potato cutlets with mushrooms and onions. The taste is really different. But I had chickpeas from a can and, to be honest, I suffered with it when I whipped it with a pencil blender - it was such a "holding shape", I had to add potato water with mashed potatoes. I even mentally swore at the producers of chickpeas in jars that they didn’t cook. You probably had a soft one. This can affect the intensity of the flavor in my opinion.
ang-kay
Maybe. It also keeps its shape, but soft. I did not purée with my "foot", but with a chopper.
svetaastro
Girls, and what? Mix potato with chickpeas ?! Even legumes are never mixed with starch (cereals, potatoes, beets) ... Straight puzzled))))
ang-kay
Svetlana, yeah. So mix it. If it's about diet, then see for yourself. But we cook bean, pea, chickpea soup? There are potatoes too.
svetaastro

Svetlana, yeah. So mix it. If it's about diet, then see for yourself. But we cook bean, pea, chickpea soup? There are potatoes too.
Angel, no, it's not diet? Do you know Shelton's theory of separate feeding?
Read it, a very smart thing.

The essence of the Shelton separate feeding technique

Shelton nutrition means eating only compatible with each other food products.
The fact is that all food products are assimilated in different ways and everyone needs their own habitat.
For example, for the fast absorption of carbohydrates (potatoes, cereals, flour), it is necessary alkaline environment, which is located in the duodenum.
And for the assimilation of proteins (legumes, fish, meat, eggs, everything, of animal origin) - you need acidic environment, which predominates in the stomach.

When these two elements are compatible, a neutralization reaction (acid + alkali) + a strong load on the body occurs, as a result of which food is hard and long-term assimilated. It does not have time to quickly digest and be absorbed into the walls of the organs, as a result of which a process of decay and fermentation occurs, salts and stones are formed ...

In other words:

In essence, the principle of food compatibility is separate nutrition.
What is its essence?
For different types of food, our body produces digestive juices of different compositions.
When the products are compatible, the composition of these juices is the same, and food is easily absorbed by the body. If there is no compatibility, food is difficult to digest, since the body is forced to simultaneously produce juices of different compositions.

The processes of putrefaction and fermentation in the body occur precisely when the compatibility of products is violated. Nutrition in such cases disrupts normal digestion and becomes the cause of intoxication.

Dry beans, peas, beans, pumpkin and sunflower seeds, nuts (except peanuts) just absolutely cannot be combined in one meal.

with starchy foods:

Rye, wheat, oats and their products.

Cereals: rice, buckwheat, pearl barley, millet, as well as chestnuts, potatoes.
So, primitively and in short.)))
And I never cook beans, lentils with potatoes - it's just suicide))
I carcass lentils with onions, spices. Beans, lentils in soup I cook with onions and cabbage WITHOUT ROUPS AND POTATOES!
ang-kay
How to eat is a private matter for everyone and we are all reasonable people to choose for ourselves. Imposing my lifestyle and food, I think it is unacceptable. I just pass by what seems unacceptable to me. Also in short)
NatalyMur
svetaastro, It is not worth teaching everyone life! Vegan for your own pleasure, but do not agitate and preach others. Sorry, it hurt. Son is a vegan ...
Cvetaal
Angela, thanks for the recipe, the cutlets are just lovely sight, I will definitely cook them !!!
Svetlenki
svetaastro, and I'll put in my five cents - I use these cutlets to hand chickpeas to the children, so that at least they understand that such a legume exists. And with your system, they will not understand me, eeee.

So, how to grill, "cutlets (chickpeas) separately, and flies separately"
ang-kay
Girls, thanks to all.

NatalyMur, Nataliabe strong dear
Cvetaal, Svetlana, I hope you like it)
Svetlenki, Sveta, I think that children will not eat bad)

Everyone chooses their own method of nutrition, life, behavior.

And what does veganism and Dr. Shelton have to do with it ?!
Shelton did not reject meat. He just proved that protein and carbohydrates cannot be mixed. And he explained why. Here, damn it, why weave everything in one pile?
Son - hello! Looks like YOUR GENES!

And with your system
the system is not mine, but the world famous "On Separate Feeding" ... Right, they made fun of it, by God))))
ang-kay
Svetlana, let's stop the discussion on this. I propose to create a special topic and share your knowledge and life preferences there. Like-minded people will gather and everyone who will be interested. And here is a recipe, not a discussion of the method of nutrition.

In vain are you trying to communicate in a similar tone. As a doctor, such statements are ridiculous to me.And as an adherent of Sybarite, potatoes are unacceptable, but I did not express a word of condemnation. But about your thirst for knowledge:

Herbert Shelton had no medical education. He graduated from Bernarr Macfadden's College of Physcultopathy, School of Naturopathy and School of Chiropractic; studied in sanatoriums practicing fasting. Shelton was arrested several times and paid fines for practicing medicine and giving medical lectures without a license. [7]
Experts' opinions

Back in 1935, Stewart Baxter showed that the pancreas secretes digestive enzymes at the same time, regardless of whether the food eaten is carbohydrates or proteins.
ang-kay
Anya, Thank you. I just did not want to enter into polemics with this person. Reasonable people all know and understand this. I think. that it is simply unacceptable to insult or humiliate a person, divide them according to race and impose their own way of life, world views and nutrition. If something does not suit you, then just pass by this recipe, as many here do. Thanks for the support)))
Anna1957
I just choked when I read it. I began to dial the answer, but the phone did not work (they went to Finka for mushrooms). And yesterday I immediately wrote from my computer.

ang-kay, used your recipe when treating her vegetarian sister. This is what I did with a salad with baked goods and tomatoes. I liked the treat, the salad said, darling.
The cutlets turned out to be quite soft, they hardly kept their shape. In the picture you seem to be denser. True, I added a little milk to the mashed potatoes. What should they be?
ang-kay
Hope, you do not need to add milk. The puree should be firm. It may even be better to bake the potatoes to keep them dry.
kavmins
Angela, I missed this wonderful recipe before, it's good that it surfaced)) you continue to amaze and delight me with your recipes, and even more so with lean ones !!! smart girl, thank you so much! I have chickpeas, now I will cook such wonderful cutlets!
