  • In general, there is no recipe as such. I just give you an interesting idea for the New Year.
  • Defrost the puff pastry. Roll it out to a thickness of 3-4 mm. Cut into squares or rectangles, counting 2 identical layers per tree.
  • I had leftovers of dough today, so I rolled it out to approximately the size of the tree.

  • Fold the two layers on top of each other and cut them as in the photo.

  • Cover the baking sheet with parchment.
  • Transfer one layer of the cut Christmas tree to the parchment and cover it with the filling. I had a plum jam on hand. Poppy filling will look beautiful, in short, contrasting to the dough. The filling layer should be thin, the filling should be non-flowing.

  • Bake Christmas trees in the oven at T 200-220 degrees. before browning.
