It used to be that the grandmother turns on the dough for pies in the morning. Necessarily in a clean apron. There is a white kerchief on his head. Sifts flour three times. Knocks out the dough 40 times against the board. Everything is so leisurely. And my brother and I are already all impatient. We spin under her feet. - "Grandma, what will the pies be with?" - "Yes, with this, kids, with this."

Grandmother dried white crackers in the oven until golden brown. I passed them through a meat grinder. Then she dissolved butter and sugar in a mug of hot milk. Added for vanilla sugar or cinnamon flavor. And on this solution she kneaded bread crumbs. The filling is ready.

Sometimes I added honey to crumbs instead of sugar. Sometimes - a little jam.

And it was delicious to us. And satisfying. And not a piece of bread was lost in the house.
