Potato bast

Ingredients

yeast dough
potatoes
butter
onion
salt
sunflower oil for frying

Cooking method

  • Potato bastWe start or buy yeast dough. I started it on sour milk and put it in a yogurt maker.
    Potato bastWhile the dough is rising, make mashed potatoes. I put the potatoes in the pressure cooker for 9 minutes, at which time I grated the onion and fried it in homemade butter. You don't need to add a lot of milk to the puree. The puree should not be liquid.
    Potato bastThe dough is ready, cut it into pieces.
    Potato bastWe spread the cooled mashed potatoes, pinch in any way.
    Potato bastWe take a rolling pin and roll it out thinly, 5-6 mm thick. If suddenly the dough breaks through, we just cover this place with flour.
    Potato bastFry in sunflower oil, fry very quickly, 10 seconds on each side. It is impossible to be distracted from the paws for a second, they will burn. Bon Appetit everyone.

Since childhood, I remember my grandmother's pies - by the time you get to the filling, I already ate too much dough. And how quickly they fried, the dough was thin, the filling was everywhere. Stunned, how delicious. The name seemed to me very suitable, but we stretched them. Much later I found out that pie is a completely different type of pies, and ours are called "Potato Bast". Of course, with potatoes, we cook noses the only way, by rolling them. We have a lot of respect for the bast shoes, even if you cook them every day, straight from the frying pan, scalding them, with cold milk. I write and my mouth water is flowing. If there is not enough milk, then I add water. And the rest is 3 spoons of sunflower oil, salt, sugar, 1 tsp. , a bag of yeast and flour to the desired consistency. I never add eggs. I do this for everything, both for frying in oil and for pies in the oven, sometimes I can put a pie in the oven from the same dough, and fry in oil from the rest of the pies or tortillas. This is how I settled down.
