Meat fingers

Ingredients

lean pork meat 500-700 grams
fresh or salted lard 100g
garlic 1 head
salt taste
pepper (I have a mixture of peppers) taste
any fat or oil for frying
Bay leaf.

Cooking method

  • Cut the meat into pieces, as for chops.
  • Fight back.
  • Grate the garlic or pass through a press.
  • Mix the garlic with water to make a gruel. Add water as needed.
  • Cut the bacon into long sticks.
  • Dip the meat in garlic sauce, salt and pepper. When salting, consider what kind of fat you use.
  • Meat fingers Put a block of bacon and wrap it in a roll.
  • Fry on all sides. Place seam side down in the pan. Can be tied with a thread.
  • Add some water and the remaining sauce to the pan.
  • Add bay leaves.
  • Cover and simmer over low heat for 15-20 minutes.
  • Everything is ready. Serve with a salad or any side dish.

Note

I really love these fingers. That's what we call them. You can put prunes, mushrooms, dried apricots in the middle. But a piece of bacon is required. This dish can be eaten both hot and cold. When cold, it resembles Ukrainian fried sausage. Recommend!

ang-kay, the most interesting thing is that I ate these fingers once in a restaurant on a business trip, the city of Salsk ..))) and remembered their taste. I tried to make it at home - it’s not that at all .. now I understand that there was still fat inside, except for garlic .. so many thanks again for this recipe, now everything will definitely work out for me!

Once upon a time in the 80s I was on a business trip around the Lviv region. And since I was in the small town of Brody, there were no canteens or cafes then, only one restaurant per city. I was the only customer in the restaurant. They brought me what was in the kitchen - some kind of salad and a boil (in Ukrainian, curled into a tube, kruchenik). These howls were divine !!!!!!! Soft beef with something inside. On the fifth howl, I slowed down and unrolled it, but inside ... and inside there was finely cut bacon in strips and - attention! - grated pickles without skin !!! My amazement knew no bounds! I even went to the kitchen and told the cook myself that it was very, very, very tasty. How happy they were there !!!
Since then I have been cooking with cucumbers inside.
