Sun-dried plums in Ourson dehydrator

Ingredients

plums 3 Kg
sugar 800gr

Cooking method

  • So, today again dried plums and plums, but !!! without oil.
  • Children love them very much and chew them instead of sweets :) So I recommend doing more at once
  • Free the prunes from the seeds, place the halves with the peel down, sprinkle each layer with sugar (only 800 g of sugar for this amount).
  • Place under the press for a day.
  • Drain the released juice, bring to a boil, add the whole plum, cook, stirring (over high heat) for 3-4 minutes.
  • Place in a colander, leave to drain excess syrup.
  • Dry in a Ourson dehydrator at a temperature of 45 degrees for about 20 hours. We periodically check, choose plum crayons that need less time, otherwise we will dry out!
  • Do not dry out - the middle of the plum should remain viscous.
  • Store in a glass jar.
  • The remaining syrup can be preserved or added to compotes.

And one more thing: yesterday I put the plums under the press at 11 pm, now at 7 am there is already a lot of juice, but not all of the sugar has dissolved. Can you speed up the process and put the plums to dry?
