Pickled apples (vacuum cooking)

Ingredients

Apples 1 kg
Salt 1.5 tsp.
Sugar 2 tbsp. l.
Dry mustard 0.5 tsp
Cinnamon 0.5 tsp
Currant and cherry leaves optional

Cooking method

  • Wash the apples. Pierce each in several places deeper (I did this with a toothpick).
  • Mix all loose ingredients in a bowl:
  • Pickled apples (vacuum cooking)
  • Put the washed currant and cherry leaves into a vacuum bag (I did not have them); apples; add mixed salt, sugar, mustard and cinnamon; shake well so that the dry mixture is evenly distributed between the apples and vacuum:

  • Leave the sealed bag at room temperature for 3-4 days. When the apples are softer, the bag can be opened or stored in the refrigerator.

Note

If you do not have a cellar or other place for storing blanks, but you want pickled apples, try to cook them in this way. I can assure you that their taste is indistinguishable from drums.
You can also add honey or any spices to taste.
