Ingredients

Sausage 200 g
Bulb onions 1 PC.
Tomato sauce (in this case, I used equal proportions of ketchup and tomato paste). 4 tbsp. l.
Seasoning 0.5 tsp
Dried basil 0.5 tsp
Garlic 1 clove
Salt taste
Ground black pepper taste
Pizza dough 600 gr.
Cheese 200 g
Egg 1 PC.

Cooking method

  • Total cooking time - 90 minutes
  • Active cooking time - 60 minutes

  • Preparation:
  • 1. Coarsely chop the sausage. I used 3 types of sausages (boiled, w / c, ham). Fry it in a pan. Place on a plate covered with paper towels and set aside.
  • 2. Cut the onion into thin rings and fry it over medium heat until soft and golden brown.
  • 3. In a small saucepan, combine the tomato sauce and spices. Put on medium-low heat and stir until the mixture is heated, without bringing to a boil, then remove from heat and cool.
  • 4. Divide the pizza dough into 4 equal portions. I use a pizza dough made in a bread machine (Redmont RMC-M60) according to the recipe from her book. Roll out each piece.
  • 5. Put a spoonful of cooled sauce on top and brush over the resulting cake. Top with fried sausage and fried onions. Sprinkle with grated cheese.
  • 6. Fold the dough circle in half and pinch the edges.
  • 7. Beat the egg and brush over the surface of the calzone.
  • 8. Place in the oven and bake for about 30 minutes at 180 g.
  • My opinion: tasty, but personally I did not have enough freshness (tomatoes, herbs).
  • The opinion of our husband and dad: he usually loves such harm. This time I limited myself to the definition of "tasty". He didn't have enough olives or olives. Therefore, for completeness, we recommend adding tomatoes and olives.

She took the recipe as a way of shaping pizza, so I prepared a variation.
I kneaded the pizza dough in HP, immediately with herbs-spices. Divided, rolled, smeared with ketchup diluted with water. Mix the filling in a bowl. This time, two varieties of sausage in cubes flew there, baked chicken in cubes, olives rings and grated cheese. In an amicable way, he asked for onions (and bell pepper would not hurt), but the heiress is watching, and the dish was intended for her. I rolled it up, pinched it and sent it to the oven.
There is no photo, because my friendship with the dough is not strong and the molding leaves much to be desired.
Conclusions:
1. This dish is indispensable when traveling with an older child, when you need to have a quick snack, hearty and without warming up. I usually bake pizza, but in buses, dressing rooms and sports locker rooms it is not very convenient to eat - either the sausage will crumble on the suit, or the olive will fall at the wrong time.
