Dessert with berries, cream and toasted oatmeal from Lido

Ingredients

For oatmeal:
Instant Oatmeal 100 g
Vegetable oil 5-6 st. l.
Brown sugar (can be white) 2-3 st. l. with a slide
For the berry layer:
Fresh or frozen berries and fruits 600-700 gr.
Filtered water 500 ml. + 100 ml.
Sugar from 5 tsp
Cinnamon (optional)
Starch (I have potato) 2 tbsp. l. with a slide
For the cream:
Cream cheese (I have Ricotta), you can just cottage cheese 400 gr.
Vanillin
Sugar 4 tbsp. l. without slide

Cooking method

  • Dessert is not just a sweet dish, it is a delightful finishing touch to any meal, a celebration of delight and delight, a convincing display of your culinary talent. But it doesn't have to be difficult to prepare for you to enjoy. I would like to share with you a recipe for a delicious dessert that I spied at the Lido bistro restaurant. A very famous chain of fast food restaurant in Minsk. I like taking my kids there. They are very interested there and, having eaten well, they walk there for a long time, which means I can calmly drink a cup of coffee. And it is also very tasty, not expensive and for all tastes. It is very simple to prepare, but everyone will like it. Its peculiarity is in the alternation of tastes. The most important thing is not to overload the sugar.
  • Let's start with the middle. We will cook ordinary thick jelly from our berries and fruits. We take any berries (fresh + 100 ml. Water) or frozen - I have frozen blueberries, gooseberries, red currants, cherries, watermelon.

  • Frozen berries go whole with juice. It is better to defrost them first. We also use fruits whatever we have. I have apples and pears. Mix berries and peeled and chopped fruits with sugar, pour 400 ml. water and heat until sugar dissolves. It is better not to make this layer sweet. The sourness is the most important piquancy that is needed in this dish. The remaining 100 ml. Mix water with starch and add to the fruit and berry mixture. The mixture immediately turns white, but then the colors will be restored. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. We boil for less than a minute. Stir gently so that the berries and pieces remain intact. The kissel should be very thick. Done. It is better to cool immediately, spreading out in the bowls. Cover the unused jelly with a lid and store in the refrigerator until a new portion. It goes well as a sauce for pie and cottage cheese, pancakes and cheesecakes. It seems such a simple thing, but all of a sudden it fell in love with us.

  • Now the top layer.
  • For me, the tastiest thing about this dessert is the top layer of toasted and caramelized oatmeal. Honestly, tastier than nuts! Crunchy and helpful! This layer is best done sweet well. It is better to prepare flakes in advance. Then just sprinkle on the dish. They are prepared very quickly, but with constant stirring, so it will not work out. Prepare the sugar and measure it in advance, so that you do not stop mixing the flakes later.
  • So pour the flakes into the pan and pour them with vegetable oil. Fry them over high heat, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes. Then sprinkle with sugar and fry for another 4-5 minutes. Then remove from heat and stir for another minute, since the pan is hot and if you leave the flakes, you can burn them. Now the main thing is not to eat them before the assembly begins.
  • Middle layer. I made from whipped Ricota with vanilla and sugar. But you can apply here Mascarpone, a custard, sour cream Burfi or just whipped curd. This layer will set off all flavors, giving them a rich, high-calorie base. Therefore, it should be sweet, but not cloying.
  • We collect dessert. Put cream on the cooled layer of berry-fruit jelly and sprinkle with flakes. The thickness of the layers is a matter of taste. After the first portion eaten, it will immediately become clear. Serve chilled.
