Ingredients

Plum 500 BC
Sugar 50 g
Vanilla sugar 1 sachet
Ground cinnamon 1/2 tsp
Candy nuts

Cooking method

  • The plum is ripe, it's time to make marshmallow from it! This time, I also decided to make candy with nuts inside from it.
  • So let's get started! My plum, remove the bones, cut into small pieces (optional) and send to the blender. Add sugar, vanilla sugar and cinnamon there. We beat everything well and put it on a pallet, which we pre-grease with vegetable oil, so that the marshmallow is well removed after drying. Set to dry at 50 degrees. I have it dried for 9 hours (left overnight). As a result, we have a plastic marshmallow, from which you can easily mold candy. To do this, I cut off a small square with scissors, put the peanuts in the center and wrapped it in an envelope, pressed it a little and rolled it between my palms. Since the candy is soft and plastic, it stuck together well into a ball, which I then rolled in powdered sugar (you can use coconut) and wrapped in a candy wrapper. I cut the remaining marshmallow into portioned pieces, wrap it in plastic wrap and store it in the refrigerator.

I am reporting about my plum marshmallow, maybe it will come in handy for someone.
The plums were the most common, about 7 kg, pitted. Turned into mashed potatoes with a blender. Since they were sour, I added honey in half to taste and cinnamon, while I made the other half just with sugar, also to taste.
Everything was dried for me both in the Belomo electric dryer and in the oven. Longer in the dryer, faster in the oven. As it suddenly turned out, in my oven you can set the temperature to 60 degrees and turn on the fan, that is, you get the same dryer, only larger. Again, the temperature can be increased if necessary. She left the door slightly ajar. In the Belomo dryer, the manufacturer indicates a maximum temperature of 60 degrees, in fact (I did not measure it myself, I read it here on the website) a maximum of 55.
She greased baking sheets in the oven and electric dryer, everything was filmed wonderfully. From the oven it stuck a little along the edge, but with the help of a knife this problem was easily solved.
I did not time it, since it was intermittently, but approximately in the dryer for a total of a day, in the oven, since the temperature is higher - 10 hours.
It smelled delicious while it was drying, especially the one with honey. I made it thin, the second portion was thicker with sugar. It no longer rolled up into a tube, so it was cut into pieces and folded on top of each other in several layers.

Thank you! No, it made sense to buy a dryer anyway. Firstly, to the dacha, since there is no oven, and secondly, there are products that need to be dried at a lower temperature, and in the oven at least 60 degrees, so everything has its use.
