Ingredients

Yellow tomatoes 1.5 kg processed
Apples 180 g
Bulgarian pepper 180 g
Bulb onions 180 g
Carrot 100 g
Garlic 5 large teeth
Ginger 0.5 tsp with a slide
Bitter red pepper 1 - 1.5 pods
Dill, parsley, dzhusay taste
Sugar 100 - 150 g
Turmeric 0.5 tsp
Dried apricots 100 g
Starch 0.6 tbsp. l
Water 50 ml

Cooking method

  • I cut the tomatoes, bell peppers, onions, carrots at random, peeled the apples, removed the seed pods and also cut at random. I put the garlic in whole teeth. And she turned on the slow cooker for an hour on the Milk Porridge / Soup / Baking program. After the signal, I smashed the "porridge / soup" with an immersion blender.
  • I cut the hot pepper into thin rings, finely chopped the greens, washed the dried apricots and cut them into microscopic pieces before they got wet. I mixed everything, added turmeric, ginger, salt and sugar, poured it into a bowl and turned on the same program.
  • I diluted the starch in cold water, poured it into ketchup and stirred.
  • After 10 minutes, I rolled it up without turning off the multicooker.
  • The result is a sweetish, fragrant ketchup for barbecue, chicken and rice - such a cheerful, radically bright orange color. Tasty!

Music inspired "Sweet sauce" from the exotic series "Bamboo stalk" LLC "Empire of Sauces" - a friend brought it to the barbecue. Such an interesting seasoning, if not for several drawbacks, and the first is potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate. I have nothing against them, but I don't eat. The second drawback is the price. And the third is the persistent smell of mold. I checked the expiration date - fresh ... Here a friend liked this sauce, and she soon bought herself one; I tried it with her - yes, a clear smell of mold ... Maybe this is intended? ..

I wanted to cook ketchup with dried apricots. And preferably - in the most effortless way !!

Of course, outwardly my ketchup and store-bought sauce are different: that is translucent due to the gigantic amount of starch, in essence it is a jelly of starch in water with sugar, salt, dried apricots, ginger, garlic, chili, lemon and vinegar.
My ketchup may not be so transparent-beautiful, but without sorbates and benzoates, and most importantly, it doesn't smell like mold !!

It is clear, you can cook it and not only from yellow tomatoes, I imitated it ... You should also control the amount of bitter pepper and, most importantly, sugar: I love sweet ketchups.
If you cook on the stove, then the excess water will evaporate by itself, you don't have to add starch.

Thank you 💗 for the recipe. This year there is an abundance of yellow fleshy 🍅.starch was not needed, the sauce was boiled down, I made it on gas. Due to the lack of turmeric, I added curry and only parsley was in the refrigerator.
