Fruits on cognac in toast baskets

Ingredients

peaches 6 pcs
nectarines 6 pcs
apricots 6 pcs
wheat bread (baguette, ciabatta) 1 PC
butter 100 g
cognac, rum 50 ml
powdered sugar 250 g
vanilla, mint
1/2 orange zest
custard, jam

Cooking method

  • I would like to offer you another very simple summer dessert, which is prepared on French toast. Only these toasts I propose to make in the form of baskets.
  • To do this, cut the baguette or ciabatu into portioned pieces and carefully remove the middle from them, leaving the bottom.
  • We will fill these baskets with fruit. But first, melt the butter in a saucepan, heat the orange zest in it and then fry the pieces of bread in this fragrant oil - fry for 2 minutes on each side.
  • Fried toast, cool and fill 1/4 with custard or jam.
  • Fruits on cognac in toast baskets
  • Cut the fruits into small pieces, sprinkle with powdered sugar, vanilla, pour in cognac and let it brew for a while, preferably at least 30 minutes.
  • And now the last stage: we fill the baskets with fruits that have become even more tender and aromatic.
  • Fruits on cognac in toast baskets
  • Serve garnished with mint, topped with cream or ice cream.

Galinka, thanks - try it at your leisure!
It looks simple - it will delight you with its aroma and taste. And most importantly, you can pickle any fruit in aromatic alcohol and each time there will be a new effect.

thanks for the idea.
Abricosca, Irina, thanks for the tip!
Such fragrant toasts were invented by the French, I only made baskets from them for convenience and greater capacity.
I will wait for impressions - I hope you like the dessert.
