Ingredients

Haddock or cod fillet 2 small
Bulb onions 1 PC.
Bay leaf, allspice, salt taste
Lemon slice
Parsley and dill 1 branch each
FOR TOMATO PEPPER FILLING:
Large thick-walled red sweet pepper 1 PC.
Pureed tomatoes (or diluted salted tomato paste) 250 ml
Sugar 1 tsp
Salt taste
Allspice and bay leaf taste
Tabasco sauce and ground paprika 0.3-0.5 tsp.
Fish broth (add up to 0.5 l)
FOR PUMPKIN FILLING:
Pumpkin pulp 300 g
Ground pepper taste
Lemon juice and some zest 1 tsp
Mayonnaise 1-2 tbsp. l.
Salt and sugar taste
Fish broth top up to 0.5 l
Gelatin by the amount of liquid in both fillings

Cooking method

  • I wanted to come up with something bright, unusual and tasty from a simple white fish (I have haddock and cod). It's just that the tomato sauce is tired, yes, and its taste is quite simple, although it can be embellished with spices. But it's never superfluous to dream about the fulfillment of desires, so we will prepare the "Goldfish"! What if you get lucky?
  • In addition, new molds are stale, you need to start using!

  • - We take haddock or young cod, however, any lean white fish will do. Cut fillet with skin from it and cut into pieces.
  • - In a small amount of water, just to cover the fish, with the addition of onions, carrots, herbs, bay leaves, allspice and salt, simmer the fish over low heat, putting it skin down, until cooked (10 minutes). We take out the fish and cool on a plate, save the broth.

  • We make a filling of red color from pepper and mashed tomatoes.
  • - We bake the whole red pepper in the oven or air fryer, like mine, at 180 C for 25 minutes. Take it out immediately and put it in a plastic bag until it cools. Then we remove the skin, free it from the seeds.
  • - Rub the grated tomatoes together with pepper with a blender until puree. Salt, put a teaspoon of sugar, add a little tabasco, paprika and ginger juice (1 tsp. Optional, I like it). Pour in the fish broth to make 0.5 liters of filling.

  • Cooking pumpkin filling
  • - Bake the skinless pumpkin pieces in the microwave (or under the lid on the stove) with a little water addition for about 7 minutes until soft. You can do it for a couple. Using a blender, we make mashed potatoes, to which we add lemon juice, ground pepper, salt.

  • We bring both fillings in different pots to 60 C and add 1-1.5 tbsp to each one. l. Instant Gelatin from Dr. Оetker, mix well until the gelatin is completely dissolved. After cooling, add mayonnaise to the pumpkin mixture, it will soften the taste and give it a matte finish.
  • - We rinse the molds with cold water and pour out our fillings one by one, trying to create a unique pattern. Add fish in layers, in small or whole pieces.

  • Transfer carefully to the refrigerator, cover with foil and leave until completely solidified.
  • Before serving, rinse the molds on the other side with hot water and turn the jellied over onto a dish.

  • If you want a more "quivering" consistency, add more broth, adjusting the amount of gelatin.
