Mandarin zest, ground 1 tsp

Cooking method

  • I cut the plums into halves, put them in 2 baking dishes equally. In one she mixed with 0.5 tbsp. cups of brown sugar, vanilla sugar, and a broken cinnamon stick. In another - from 0.5 tbsp. brown sugar, zest and crumbled star anise. Baked the plums until tender (overexposed in the oven).

  • At the same time, I soaked agar-agar in wine. Then she added 1 tbsp. white sugar and boiled syrup.
  • Divided the hot syrup in half and poured the plums into the patches. Stirred, put in boiled jars and closed. I kept it for three hours in a bath made of blankets and pillows.

My plums are slightly boiled - I overlooked them. It turned out sour and tasty, very tasty, although not very presentable. The consistency is like a thin jelly. To get jelly, the agar must be doubled.
Stored normally at room temperature.

Any agar will do. Just be guided by the properties of your agar and the consistency you want to get. (There is a little more powder in the spoon by weight).
It is possible without agar at all, then there will be a plum in wine syrup.
