Pickled grapefruit

Ingredients

Grapefruit 2 pcs
Grapefruit juice 130 ml
Fruit wine 130 ml
Green pepper 2 pods
Fresh mint 3-4 branches

Cooking method

  • Free the pulp of the grapefruit from the membranes, cut the pepper pods into rings. Heat pulp, juice, wine and pepper without boiling. Transfer the grapefruit and pepper to a prepared jar, boil the syrup.
  • Add mint to the hot syrup and pour over the grapefruit in a jar.
  • Pickled grapefruit
  • Can be eaten after cooling, but tastes better after a couple of days.

I spied on the principle, but greatly modified the recipe. The dish turns out to be very refreshing and bright. The pungency of the grapefruit goes away a little, it is replaced by the pungency of the pepper.
For those who love grapefruit - a must have!
We started eating almost immediately after cooking, but after 3 days the snack tasted better.
