Polenta meatballs stuffed with ham and suluguni

Ingredients

polenta (quick cook) 60 g
milk or water 250 ml
butter 15 g
for breading
corn flour 2 tbsp. l
breadcrumbs 2 tbsp. l
grated parmesan 2 tbsp. l
eggs 1 PC
For filling
sulguni cheese
ham

Cooking method

  • To prepare polenta, pour milk or water into a saucepan (you can take milk in half with water), add butter, bring to a boil, salt. Add polenta, stirring constantly. Cook until thick. Then cool slightly, add nutmeg and pepper. Spread the mass on paper in an even layer 1-1.5 cm thick, cool completely, and then cut out circles with a diameter of 6-7 cm, or small rectangles from it. Cut ham and cheese slices of the same shape and size. Put the ham on the polenta circle and cover with the second polenta circle. Make the same meatballs with cheese.
  • Stir in the breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan.
  • First roll the prepared polenta balls in flour, then in an egg, then in a mixture of crackers and parmesan.
  • Fry until crispy.

Trishka, Ksyusha, polenta is corn grits. If the thick corn porridge hardens and shapes can be cut out of it, then there won't be much difference, I think. I took a comparison photo (from left to right) of corn grits and polenta

gala10, lettohka ttt , Thank you!

Gal, but I only had flour. And some coarse cereals, and if you mix it? The polenta was all exhausted ...
Gala
Ol, no, don't mix. If you really want to do it, you can try it with cereals. Boil a thick porridge and see if it hardens so that you can cut out forms from it. In general, why rush? When there is polenta, then you will.
Rada-dms
+ Gala +, that's it! Buy and make!

Corn grits are small and there is large, both solidify, but small ones solidify better and the final result is more uniform. A long time ago I did the same with a small one - everything worked out
M @ rtochka
I often cook corn porridge in a slow cooker. 1: 2 by volume (on water), then it costs half an hour at least on heating. I cook from ordinary cereals. Freezes super! Cut it with a knife. Then I crush it with a spoon with a spoon and pour it in with milk, but I really like to eat just such a tight one with a fork, with salad, cheese. It turns out that I eat the hominy !!
You must definitely try this recipe. Imagine the taste
