Ingredients

Onion 3 pcs.
Carrot 2 pcs.
Bulgarian pepper 2 pcs.
Potatoes 500 gr.
Eggs 2 pcs.
Tomato paste (crushed tomatoes) 2-3 st. l.
Vegetable oil 250 ml.
Salt 30-40 gr.
Set of traditional spices 20 gr.
Dough
Flour 1.5-2 tbsp.
Eggs 4 things.

Cooking method

  • I must say right away that this is a kind of budget option, it does not include meat.
  • We put several potatoes in a separate saucepan. Knead the dough on the eggs. The dough should be the consistency of thick sour cream. In the oil heated in a cauldron (traditionally made with ghee or lamb fat), gradually fry the onions and carrots until golden brown, then add the Bulgarian pepper (I add sauerkraut Bulgarian pepper) and tomatoes. Cut the potatoes into wedges and also fry them in a cauldron for a while. Add water and salt (add water to your volume of liquid in the dish) I added 2.5 liters. The potatoes boiled in the meantime in a separate saucepan are drained and kneaded. When the potatoes in the soup are soft, add the crushed potatoes and alishka (dumplings).
  • We form Alishka as follows: we collect the dough in a tablespoon and separate a part with a teaspoon and throw it into the soup. Boil for 5 minutes and add the beaten eggs one by one (stir the soup and pour in a thin stream without stopping stirring). Cook for another 2-3 minutes and turn off the heat. Let it brew.
