Zubastik , On Eve, they are now discussing the issue with the potato peeler. They say that for her the potatoes should be perfectly even and round. And a lot of uncleaned parts remain, including the eyes.
So it seems to me that you will only need to buy expensive imported potatoes, ideally even. Tady doesn't suit us. True, we will wait for more reviews, maybe someone will buy it all the same.

exactly the Kenwood attachment?
I even think that oval potatoes can be a problem.
Imagine yourself, the potatoes are not even, the protruding parts will be cleaned immediately, and the rest is either manually cleaned, or continue to be cleaned with a "combine", but then what will remain of the potato? Little round, I suppose? Probably a turnip with round beets will be easier to clean.
Uncle Sam
I have experience with an industrial potato peeler (in the army there was one in the canteen). Grater type.

It was necessary to throw a certain amount of potatoes of the same size and shape into it.
Time: no less (not cleaned up), and no more (potatoes will "dissolve") necessary.
The eyes had to be cut with a knife.

In short, the machine saved time by peeling only a lot of potatoes.
With a small load, you spend more on cleaning and washing the device itself.
Qween
I have had a potato peeler for a long time.
I only peel young potatoes, and for the old I have a vegetable peeling knife. I love that you can buy the smallest potatoes.
I don't pay attention to the shape of the potato, but always to the skin!
If you are not very young, then you will not end up with troubles.
foxtrader
Peeling young potatoes is generally a sin - baked in the skin, it is especially good
Selina
I can only dream of such a super-unit as a potato peeler! In my farm, potato lovers in different versions, it would be the # 1 device in the kitchen (well, after the bread machine, of course)
Kosharik
Can I put in 5 kopecks? I bought a Kenwood KM010 combine. And attachments for it (ice cream maker, potato peeler and citrus press). Now I get everyone
I really love potatoes. Up to trembling knees. In any form (well, except raw). But I hate to peel it (usually the husband performs the role of a potato peeler). So about the potato peeler. The price of the issue is about 1300 rubles, for the experiment - the price is normal. The unit is a bowl with sandpaper (sprinkled with a nice touch) and a circle with the same sandpaper. Cleaned. Young. Small. Different caliber. Cool. But the eyes have to be gouged out. Moscow winter potatoes, I think, will not take (they can only be peeled in the army). Resume - for young potatoes, especially for small ones - a wonderful device, especially for those who are allergic to the skin of young potatoes. About handheld devices in absentia I can say - garbage. Here the combine has a power of 1400W. He threshed her for 5 minutes. It is unrealistic to wash the scraps of sandpaper 100%. But, in general, I rinsed it off, brushed it over the sandpaper with a brush - we can say that it was clean.
Qween
Well, I'll put in my five cents.
I have just - manual "garbage". Made in the USSR. The coating inside the potato peeler is solid. The whole device is disassembled and very easy to clean.
Kosharik
All, I will be silent. My mistake - I'm used to the fact that now everything is Chinese and not of the best quality.
As for the rest, it's good that not only I decided that there were no special problems with cleaning the unit.
In any case, our pens need to be protected. Here

I have one with a Berner grater. I bought it when my son went to first grade, that is, he began to take the first steps in helping in the kitchen. He really likes to peel potatoes with such a peel. The coolest thing is that, as usual, he doesn't know how to peel potatoes with a knife!

And he also does not like analog clocks - he is better guided by electronic ones. I live by arrows. Generation...
But this is so, a lyrical digression.
Kosharik
Wow, what a thing. And I have Berner's - the usual (they have an uncomfortable handle) and Tuppervarovskaya (which makes little raspberries). And this is a mix. A handy little knife?
Caprice
It's Swiss, Victorinox. The same firm that makes Swiss army knives. The steel is good, but I am not yet used to a handle of this shape, I still used straight lines.
torturesru
How is anyone's opinion on how long such an emery will last? And in theory, eyes can also be exterminated with them, I saw at a factory where potato chips are cooked. But they just rub it until the sides of the potatoes are grinded down to the eyes. Conclusion is not particularly economical for the home!
Rita
Kosharik
can you take a photo of this miracle in the studio?
Selina
so it will last, depending on how much potatoes you eat :))) And then you can probably buy and replace it separately in the service center!
torturesru
So I eat three sacks of potatoes for it :) And second, as if replacing this unit did not cost almost as much as a new car :) But they actually made them, of course, for factories where you can grind off some of the potatoes and send them to starch production. This is done, in any case, where the chips are produced.
Selina
We also love potatoes. I don't even mind if the potatoes are not very economical to peel, just not to peel them by hand :(
Mallet
I think that she won't peel crooked and uneven potatoes.

Wow! I am delighted! I'm in pioneer. I worked in a camp at the dawn of her youth, there was a huge barrel, the effect is the same, embrasing. Well, relics !!! And for home use I did not know what to eat.

Irr! And in the pioneer camp there were still a bunch of pioneers on duty in the kitchen, picking out their eyes with the handles of potatoes. There is no potato that is ideal in shape, and there are also all sorts of diseases (potato) and emptiness inside. Without your hands and eyes, potatoes are bad. Now I never buy frozen cut potatoes, because when they first went on sale, there were a lot of punctures.

Not peeled potatoes, but old ones ... like they mean for young and "old potatoes" .... I have such a potato peeler. I bought it in the joint venture for 388 UAH. In principle, I like it - I can't cook without it. Noisy, of course, when potatoes are spinning there, you won't be able to sleep. According to the instructions, you need to twist for 1-2 minutes. I spin for less than a minute (I save) - then it happens that a little skin remains on one or two potatoes ... you need to clean it up ... By the way, I weighed 1 kg. potatoes before peeling by hand and 1 kg of potatoes before peeling in a typewriter .... Even if you turn it for 1.5 minutes - in a typewriter it costs less than 5 times. This is provided that I peel it with a good, special cleaner for vegetables.
Potatoes can be put, in principle, of different sizes ... although the seller assured me otherwise ... everything cleans up normally ... Of course, if there are a lot of eyes, in some places they will remain.
The device is not bad, it greatly facilitates work ... especially, less than 1.5-2 kg. I don't cook potatoes. Easy to clean: just remove the lid, remove the rotating round grater, pour the rest into the toilet and rinse and that's it ...
There are also disadvantages: if I were developing such a machine for myself, I would have sealed the lid with an elastic band (sometimes splashes fly out) ... plus I did something with noise insulation ... plus I would make a completely metal cleaning knife. But then, of course, it would have cost more.
Well, like everything ... dashed off. Thanks for attention.

Yes, any woman would want such a unit, because the potato riots remained in the distant 18th century, well, people did not want to eat it-potatoes instead of turnips !!!!

Rita, but you would still not see anything there at first glance - I hide everything in the closets, only one HP and AG (but I’ll probably also remove it) are in permanent places. I love free spaces and clean countertops. (P.S. In the Gallery, "HP in my kitchen", files # 29, 30)

will you tell?

I'm telling you. Here it is - small, economical, foldable, electric. Powered by two AA batteries.

🔗 🔗

Received? This is for your formidable grin!
dopleta
Well, lano-lano ... actually here 🔗

This is how she looks from the inside 🔗

Removable bowl, walls with a "grater" and at the bottom - a grater 🔗

For testing, I took 750-800 grams of old potatoes. Honestly - not on purpose, the potatoes turned out to be relatively flat 🔗

This is how she looked after two minutes 🔗

Added a minute, here's the result 🔗

That's what's left at the bottom of the bowl 🔗

Right now, right now, I'll tell you ... There, on the first page, Uncle Sam wrote everything correctly. These nine potatoes were peeled to perfection for 3 minutes. But then clean and wash these graters. I think, hands (9 potatoes) would be the same in time. But with your hands. And here you can do much more. And there is very little waste. But it's not cheap. And it rumbles - how horrible. And what will happen to the uneven potatoes (I don't have one yet)? Well, in short: either 5 - large, or 3 ... But the manicure is intact!

You know, but I remembered that I saw such potatoes in some culinary show. But I don’t remember if it’s French ... I remember they said that it is different in taste, expensive and creamy ... Now I will suffer, remember ... Although, probably, you are right, here you can make one for fun. But that, they said, is very tasty!

The one that we sell is really delicious. I often bought it before, but now it has risen in price unrealistically. But, to be honest, I thought that this was not a special kind of potato, but a chopped simple one.

Doplet! Congratulations! I liked it Considering that our Saturn (analogue) is 2 times cheaper, you can take it. Here are just this grater to wash somehow it is necessary to adapt quickly. I love when she is intact, but cleaning such trifles is annoying.
