Fish zrazy with onions

Ingredients

hake carcass 900 gram
turnip onion large 4 pieces
garlic 1-2 teeth
small raw carrots 1 piece
semolina 3 tbsp. spoons
salt taste
ground black pepper taste
vegetable oil for frying

Cooking method

  • We take the hake carcass, separate the meat from the bone and twist it in a meat grinder.
  • We twist the minced meat, garlic, onion and at the end a small carrot.
  • Salt, pepper and add semolina.
  • Stir and leave the cereal to swell.
  • Cut the onion in half rings (or whatever you like), send it to the pan.
  • Fry in oil until slightly golden brown and soft onion. Let cool slightly.
  • From minced meat with wet hands we form balls, and then cakes. Put the fried onions in the middle.
  • We pinch the edges, form an oval cutlet.
  • Fry over medium heat until golden brown on both sides.
  • Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 3-5 minutes.
  • Our zrazy is ready.

Note

These are absolutely lean fish cakes without eggs and milk. May be consumed in fasting when fish is permitted.
This is how I make cutlets. You can make zrazy with other fillings (mushrooms, rice).
For cutlets and zraz, I always take a whole carcass, not fillets. Don't be lazy. You yourself will understand that this way your dish will be much tastier.
Zrazy are juicy, keep their shape and do not decay. Optionally, you can roll in breadcrumbs or flour before frying.
