Flour kurabye (no eggs)

Ingredients

Butter 130g
Vegetable oil (odorless) 50ml
Powdered sugar 100gr
Corn starch 100gr
Wheat flour 2 cups, or 260g sifted! flour
Vanilla sugar 1h l.

Cooking method

  • My favorite cookie, I could not find a recipe for a long time. I found it by chance, searched the Internet for how to cook kurabiye properly and saw a photo of my cookies. It cannot be confused with any other, because it is white, hence the name - flour.
  • The cookies are incredibly crumbly and tender. Try it.
  • We mix powdered sugar and soft butter (mixed everything with a spoon, mixes very easily).
  • Flour kurabye (no eggs)
  • Add vanilla sugar and starch and stir.
  • Flour kurabye (no eggs)
  • Add some flour and stir again.
  • Flour kurabye (no eggs)
  • Then add the sunflower oil and the rest of the flour and mix. The dough is kneaded very easily and quickly. Roll into a ball, cook right away, do not put in the cold!
  • Flour kurabye (no eggs)
  • I divided the dough into 4 parts, sculpted the sausages, flattened and applied the strips with a fork. Cut diagonally with a knife into equal pieces. Put on a baking sheet, greased with sl. oil, I have a silicone mat.
  • Flour kurabye (no eggs)
  • Flour kurabye (no eggs)
  • Flour kurabye (no eggs)
  • Bake at 160 degrees for 10-12 minutes (I got 14 minutes). The cookies increase slightly in size. The cookies must always remain white!
  • Flour kurabye (no eggs)
  • Hot biscuits are very soft, so you need to let them cool on a baking sheet, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  • Many thanks to the author of the recipe, Irina Taro.

The dish is designed for

Very interesting! Don't you feel the starch?
anel
Thank you, maybe you can feel the starch a little when it's hot, but not. Therefore, for a long time I could not understand how such tenderness and weightlessness of cookies is achieved.
win-tat
Interesting! I will definitely try, I want a really crumbly kurabye. I stole the recipe Anel, Thank you !
anel
win-tat, try it. Of course, these cookies do not look like traditional kurabi, they are a little different, I love them very much

I'll try it anyway, I love crumbly cookies, and this is not troublesome yet, I like such non-stained recipes
Tricia
anel, Lenochka!
Very interesting recipe, thanks! I took it to the bookmarks.

Now all that remains is for me, with my special abilities, to find the correct 200 ml glass and measure the correct amount of flour.
I have troubles with glass measures, I've already spoiled so many products ...
ninza
Helen, dear, thanks for the recipe! Or you can weigh 2 cups of flour from ml. - in grams? Thank you in advance.
anel
Tricia, Nastya, thank you. The dough is so light and pleasant to work with, you can't spoil it. The main thing is not to pour the flour tightly.
I used a glass from the Oursson multicooker, a small one just came up
anel
ninza, Nina, thanks, I just tried it on, sifted !!! flour is 260 gr

I'll add it to the recipe.

Lena, yes I am such a needlewoman that I can
I'll try in the near future, bring a photo report.

Helen, tell me, is it possible to replace corn starch with potato? I want to make cookies, but I don't have cornstarch. Thank you in advance.
anel
Ninul, I don't know, haven't tried it. And let us bake and tell us
win-tat
And I made it, my son really liked it soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo pleasant when it was warm, the starch really felt, and when it cooled down, it became soft and crumbly. Anel Helen , thanks again

win-tat, Tanya, thanks! It's great that you liked it, in your photos the cookies are so appetizing
ninza
Helen, dear, to me on "you", if possible. As soon as I buy cornstarch, I'll bake cookies right away. I really want to get the same wonderful cookies like yours. Thank you.

Well, why did I come here?
Another trap!
anel
PapAnin, come in, glad to see you!
DaNiSa
thanks for the recipe! I will definitely try!

Lenochka, thank you for the delicious cookies. The starch was potato, instead of vanilla - the zest of tangerines. Very aromatic, fast and tasty cookies.
anel
Julia, thank you, it's great that you liked the cookies. So you can bake with potato starch. You can also add lemon or orange zest to the dough.
Vesta
I decided to make this cookie today, I accidentally found cornstarch in my stocks, it took me 70g less flour and still crumbled for some reason, I could not roll the sausages, did how it turned out - flat strips, and then cut it diagonally, in I didn’t see it in the oven and it was fried, but it didn’t affect the taste, thank you, delicious, I think I’ll make it, I liked it at home.
anel
VestaThanks for trying the recipe. I measure the light flour in glasses (it's more convenient for me), as in the original recipe, and I counted the flour in grams, because I was asked. The dough turns out to be crumbly, but if you get used to it, you will be able to roll the sausage
The last time I also had cookies browned and turned out to be drier.
ychilka
It took me a gram of flour and starch like in the recipe. The dough was like crumbs, but I roughly divided them into 4 parts and began to collect them in a pile with my hands, the dough became soft and pliable right before our eyes.
anel
Julia, I do that too.
Tricia
My dough never came together in a ball, although I measured all the ingredients on the scales. And it turned out very starchy, or so it seems to me. Here I am sinning for underexposing in the oven ...
My husband didn't eat, eh.
Can you tell me where you can put the cookies? To make a potato or a cheesecake crust? So it smells awesome - the hand does not rise to throw it away.

ychilka
Potatoes are unlikely. Fat dough + cream, a lot of calories))) but the base for cheese is easy, or as a sprinkle for buns, strusel.
Tricia
I myself thought it would be very good for cheesecake. I'll mix it with oatmeal so that my husband doesn't recognize it.

so I was afraid to get it in 15 minutes, so they fried it, but everyone liked me, they said they look like kurabi
anel
Can you tell me where you can put the cookies?

Anastasia, you can try making apple pie. The bottom and top are biscuit crumbs, the middle is apples. And beat the cottage cheese with protein and sugar, also use the filling instead of apples.
It's a pity that the cookies didn't work out
Kokoschka
anel, an interesting recipe, you must try!
They baked at 160 ° and the top and bottom heat, what?
Tricia
Lena, anel, I told you that my hands are crooked for baking. I'm not upset, I'll experiment :).
In any case, a very interesting and tasty cookie, it just doesn't suit me a bit in terms of the flour-starch ratio.
Nothing, I'll try again, maybe I'll put a little less flour and starch
anel
kokoshka, thanks, I bake on the "classic heating" mode (top + bottom), but I put the baking sheet on the second level from the top.
anel
Tricia, Nastya, try this recipe, without starch, the cookies are less crumbly, but also tasty. But in my opinion, the combination of starch and sunflower oil makes the taste of the cookie interesting.

145g soft sl. oils
2 cups flour (not dense) (200g each)
100g icing sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
1h l. vanilla sugar.

Mix the butter and powder, add vanilla sugar, baking powder and gradually add flour. At first there will be crumbs, but gradually the dough will gather into a lump.
Then do everything as in the recipe with starch. Good luck to you
Tricia
Lenochka! Thanks for the worry ! I will definitely try)).
Doxy
Lena, grand mercis for the recipe!
The dough was kneaded by Bosch, I had to suffer with cutting out the hearts, but the result was worth it - the children are delighted! I will repeat - definitely! Baked in a gas oven for 20 minutes at 150C.

Vera! This is the first time I see these cookies with hearts, cutting them out of such a dough is a big job! In Turkey, it is traditionally baked in cubes. Thanks for photos.
tascha
can you use margarine for baking instead of butter?
Yuliya K
Thanks for the recipe! Delicious cookies! I recommend to all kurabye lovers! According to a similar recipe, I already baked more than once, so I immediately reduced the starch to 30g (this is about 3 tablespoons), for crumbling this is quite enough ... you can take any starch ... flour also took 30g less, since flour it is different for everyone, you need to look at the plasticity of the kneaded dough and add flour gradually, otherwise you will not blind the dough into the sausage. If you accidentally poured it, then the situation can be corrected, add a little water or just moisten your hands.

so I was afraid to get it in 15 minutes, so they fried it, but everyone liked me, they said they look like kurabi
And I also like the "toasted" version better! The starch and sugar are slightly caramelized and a pleasant nutty flavor appears!
I baked in the GF pizza maker. More about it here.

Flour kurabye (no eggs)Good afternoon! I barely collected the loose mass into a lump, I had to add 30 g sl. butter, baked a little longer, it seemed completely damp. But everything worked out, Mush said divinely Thank you for the recipe, harmful, of course

Larissa, if the dough crumbles, then you can just add a spoonful of water so that the fat content does not increase.

Thank you, Julia! I thought about it, but I was afraid. In the next. if so I will. Here they wrote that starch can also be reduced, I will try
