Ideal millet porridge with pumpkin in the Oursson MP5005 multicooker

Ingredients

Multi-glass 200 ml
Millet 1 m / glass (200 ml)
Peeled pumpkin 200-300 gr
Brown sugar 3 tbsp. l.
Cinnamon 0.5 tsp
Options: either Fresh milk + water 3.5 m. St. + 1 m. St.
or
Powdered milk 6 tsp with a slide + water 4.5 m.
Oil for roasting pumpkin (sunflower + olive + butter)
Salt 0.5 tsp
Sugar 3 tsp

Cooking method

  • I really love millet porridge with pumpkin. For a very long time I was looking for its ideal ratio for a multicooker. I love when it looks more like pudding than grains of millet. To be a single fluffy mass. Through trial and error, I got it. This is something !!! Very tasty, aromatic and tender. Not a mess, but something like a pudding.
  • First, the millet must be sorted out and rinsed well in running water. Then I fill it with filtered water for 4-5 hours. Not less. I do this at lunchtime. I cook porridge in the evening. She spends the night in a multicooker. And in the morning for breakfast we get an incomparable breakfast, unique in taste and benefits.
  • After the time for soaking the cereals, we proceed to cooking. Cooking begins with roasting the pumpkin itself. It is very important. Then the pieces of pumpkin do not creep, but retain their shape and acquire a unique taste. So, we heat up a multicooker in a Baking or a regular pan and in a mixture of oils (I take sunflower + butter + olive) fry our pumpkin with the addition of sugar and cinnamon. Of course, it must first be crushed into cubes of the size that you like in porridge. I like medium size. Do you feel what flavor has gone?
  • Now that the pumpkin has acquired a beautiful copper shade, we drain the water from the millet and send it to the pumpkin (the multicooker is disabled). Then there are two options. Either we cook with fresh regular milk or dry. And so and so you will like the result. Simply, if you are not sure that the milk is fresh enough and will not curdle, use dry milk.
  • So, in the case of fresh milk, we simply pour 1 m / glass of water + 3.5 m / glasses of milk into the bowl.
  • In the case of milk powder, I pour milk powder directly onto the pumpkin and stir. Then I warm up 1 m / glass of water to 30-40 degrees and fill it. I mix gently. The milk dissolves quickly. Then I add the remaining water - 3.5 m / glasses of normal temperature, salt, sugar.
  • Kasha mode. Pressure 2. Turn on at night. After the Porridge mode (40 minutes), oursson MP5005 has automatic heating. This is approximately 50-60 degrees. In this mode, the porridge stays until the morning. Therefore, in the morning it is hot and well cured like from the oven!

Note

I decorate with children's marmalades and dried fruits. But this is just for a photo. Since I do not accept ANYTHING except for a cup of milk to this porridge!
Try it. Delicious.

Irina, somehow missed your recipe! I am also a big fan of millet porridge with pumpkin! Thank you very much for such a detailed story! I had no idea that pumpkin can be fried for porridge, I always just stewed it. I will definitely try! In addition, it did not occur to me that you can leave it on the heating all night, I usually put it on a delay so that it would be ready for breakfast. Irina, I just don't understand why it is necessary to add water if there is milk?

Hi, Ira. Glad to see you for breakfast with millet porridge!
I also used to always stew and often it turned out puree, especially when you do it in a cartoon. And now I enjoy the most delicate honey pieces! I always add water with milk so that it doesn't burst through the top of the pressure cooker. It can climb without water!

Irisha, porridge is already boiling! Tomorrow morning I will remember you.

Oh well, I'm SO GLAD !!!!! I also like this porridge. I kept pumpkins, but then I read that they can only be stored until the New Year - then they begin to germinate. It is necessary to CUT BURENAK! So soon there will be porridge and bread! I love pumpkin bread.

I once had a pumpkin until the next autumn, did not germinate.
Recently I saw here another recipe for millet porridge in a pear (among the German competition), I also want to try.

In the evening at 5 o'clock I soaked it. Either I'll put it late tonight or tomorrow morning. Defined a heavy ceramic pot with a lid underneath it. (Wings in your marinade are baked in it)
Tomorrow I will report back And if the child also eats ...

fine! it is necessary that it languishes and does not burn! in the cartoon it does not burn, but in the oven ... watch it.

The porridge turned out to be very tasty and beautiful. I think build in the oven will be even better! The little taster has not tried it yet, but the adults liked it

oh yes of course! and I would also add juice-nectar (only sweet, without sourness ... apricot for example).
We tried this kind of porridge. I love and cook very often. Any non-wet soft fruit will go instead of a peach.

Wow! I bought a small pumpkin. I'll do it tomorrow!

I made porridge in Orson according to this recipe. The exception is that I did not keep it heated. Everyone really wanted to eat ... To be honest, it doesn't look like porridge (well, this is personally in my understanding). Indeed, it probably looks more like a pudding or even some kind of dessert. Pumpkin after preliminary heat treatment, on the contrary, almost dissolved in porridge. Maybe some pumpkin is not like that? Or maybe I have - handles - hooks ... Maybe I cut it a little? But despite this TASTY. It is especially valuable for me that my son liked the porridge. I ate it in the morning. And for lunch instead of soup he asked for porridge. Thanks to the author for the recipe :-))

We will repeat :-)
