Soup with minced meat and beans (Schnippelbohnensuppe)

Ingredients

beef broth 1.5 liters
green beans 150 g
green pea 100 g
potatoes 300 g
carrot 1-2 pcs. small
onion 100 g
minced meat 200 g
fat 100 g
spices, salt taste

Cooking method

  • This soup is popular in the Rhineland. It is an everyday dish of local burghers. It is prepared in different ways, but a prerequisite is the use of three ingredients: green beans, bacon, minced meat.
  • We need the following set of ingredients:
  • Soup with minced meat and beans (Schnippelbohnensuppe)
  • 1. Cut the bacon into small cubes, quarter onion into rings, carrots into slices, potatoes into cubes.
  • 2. Fry bacon in a frying pan, add onion, brown. Put the minced meat in pieces in the pan, stew the carrots all together.
  • 3. Put potatoes, beans and peas in a saucepan (I had a frozen mixture, I chose beans and peas from it). Put the fry, pour in the broth (add water if thick), spices to taste and cook until tender.
  • The soup is the simplest. But satisfying. The original of the recipe states that in some areas pork colas and cream are added to it. But to be honest, the soup is already fatty because of the bacon. If there is still cream, then in general there will be a khan of the liver.

Elena, and in Russian - soup with meatballs.

With a slight movement of the hand, the "khana liver" soup turns into .... the soup turns into a light dietary one.
I did not fry the minced meat, did not add bacon. I rolled meatballs from minced meat, threw them into water (I forgot that there is always frozen chicken broth in the freezer), and then - according to the text.
I got a very light sandbag with a beautiful olive grease on the surface.
I take it, I will diversify the soups with legumes.
Thank you!
