  • 5. Cooking the icing. Boil the icing sugar over low heat with mulled wine until the crystals dissolve. I boiled it to a liquid state to better preserve the taste of mulled wine.
  • 6. Cover the cake with glaze, sprinkle with almond flakes. I also used 2 tbsp. l. red currant jam - to enhance the color, and better fix the almonds on the surface. Cut into TRIANGLES (Dreispitze - translates as three vertices). You can serve!

Time for preparing:

1 hour

Cooking program:

stove, oven

Note

A very soft pie (probably a suitable Russian name for this confection), a little moist, but not heavy. There is no wine in the dough - only spice. But I think that the presence of wine affects the delicate structure of the cake. You can feel mulled wine in the glaze - not very intrusive. For lovers of more pronounced flavors, the amount of spices can be increased by 1.5-2 times. You can also additionally soak the finished cake with mulled wine (add another 30-40 ml to the total).

Tatyana, as you are strictly! And here I am a Crimean man, I have this shoe polish wine heaps ... So I dabble in such recipes!

Alexandra, yes, you have heaps in Crimea! I hope to see for yourself in the summer. Either they will "settle" with the crossing, or inexpensive planes will be allowed
Mulled wine is my signature dish. How many I do not cook - it will go away "with a bang", and even ask for additives.

Or with the crossing they will "settle"
Tatyana, but at the crossing it is not so scary. My husband went a couple of times. 3-4 hours in line (if the weather is good). Maybe you want to come for the New Year!

AlexandraAnd we also have wines, like shoe polish, but sometimes they don't come across very well .... or rather, they may be very good, but they don't like it. tart and strong. Here is a bottle in the refrigerator. so make glitwein and triangles like that!
Pulisyan
Vika, a very good use of wine, which does not quite suit the taste - in baked goods, the taste will not be distinct, but the aroma will remain!

I noticed that the more disgusting the wine, the better the mulled wine comes out. I brew it with wine in paper bags. They are the best for culinary purposes. And this is not so much a matter of economy as of taste.
Alexandra, no, New Year is not suitable. I want to swim in the sea, remember my childhood. Evpatoria, Bakhchisarai, Sevastopol, Chufut-kale, Crimean mountains, the Grand Canyon. And the Crimean wine in the area of manufacture to drink (in childhood, for obvious reasons, did not try). I've never been to Yalta.

TatyanaAnd something delicious glitwein doesn't come out of obscene wine either ...

Vika, on the contrary, from sour, which you won't even drink - the best mulled wine. Probably because I "correct" it with a large selection of spices.
