Cooking method

  • I didn't know which section to put it in, but in fact it's a bun, so I decided here.
  • On one of the TV channels there is a series of programs called "At the Ranch at Ree Drummond." Rea is an Oklahoma rancher and mother of four who writes about nutrition, parenting, and life.
  • Her 🔗 the blog was named the best blog of 2009. In October 2009, Rea Drummond released her first cookbook, which became the # 1 bestseller in the New York Times.
  • I love watching her cook, I love the cozy home environment and the fact that the culinary stories are interspersed with the life on the ranch.
  • And now I sometimes take recipes from her office site 🔗
  • So. Here I slightly changed the amount of sugar and butter to a lesser extent.
  • Combine milk, butter and sugar in a small saucepan and heat to dissolve the sugar. Cool until warm (30-35 degrees).
  • Pull-Apart Bread (Oklahoma-style bun)
  • Pour into a bowl, add flour and yeast.
  • Stir (you can use a spoon, Kesha did it at low speed), the dough will be quite sticky, close the lid and leave to rise for 1 hour.

  • After an hour, add 90 g flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt and stir with a spoon. If the dough is too sticky, still add another 90 g flour (I added). And put the dough in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  • Pull-Apart Bread (Oklahoma-style bun)
  • The result is a very soft, non-sticky dough that is easy to work with.
  • Pull-Apart Bread (Oklahoma-style bun)
  • Roll out the dough into a layer on a floured surface.
  • Pull-Apart Bread (Oklahoma-style bun)
  • Spread melted butter on top, sprinkle with sugar mixed with cinnamon.
  • Pull-Apart Bread (Oklahoma-style bun)
  • Cut the layer into 6-8 strips and stack them.

  • Cut the stack into squares and place them in an oiled baking dish, cover with a towel and let sit for 20-30 minutes.

  • Pull-Apart Bread (Oklahoma-style bun)
  • Bake in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 10 minutes, then I lowered the temperature to 180 and made sure that the top did not brown too much, so I covered it with foil in the process. The total baking time was 45-50 minutes.
  • Pull-Apart Bread (Oklahoma-style bun)
  • Either the shape is too small, or the dough is too much, but I got it very much out of shape.
  • Next, mix milk, powder, cocoa and melted butter.
  • Pull-Apart Bread (Oklahoma-style bun)
  • We take out the form from the oven, go along the sides with a spatula and, without removing it from the form, pour it with glaze and leave to soak.
  • Pull-Apart Bread (Oklahoma-style bun)
  • I stood the night.
  • I thought it would be sweet because of the rather large amount of sugar, but no, that's the thing for us.
  • The dough inside is very soft, with a cinnamon aroma, soaked in glaze.
  • I think that you can easily make it not such a cupcake-bread, but roll it into curly rolls and pour over them with icing in the same way. Next time I will.

A good recipe, we have a similar bread, only not so rich, but also very tasty.

Italian bread Pane al latte "Fisarmonica" in the oven (dopleta)

Yes, I saw him. But it's not sweet at all. And this is a bun. Just the same shape.
irysikf
What a super loaf! I really like to bake it.
Tumanchik
Oh, I like her! Looks like my favorite muffin !!! Thank you!
kseniya D
Girls, bake for health. I liked the recipe in that the dough does not need to be kneaded to some ideal state, but just stir with a spoon. And it took longer to write the recipe than it did.
irysikf
Ksyusha, what is the size of the mold for this amount of dough?
Trendy
I love Italian bread from Dopleta, and when I saw this bun, I immediately began to read the recipe. I liked the recipe, I like the program too. I will definitely try the bun, only exclude the cinnamon (I don't like it).
kseniya D
irysikf, I have a shape of 28 * 11 cm. For the beauty of the picture, you need a larger shape or a little less dough.
Trendy, try another option if you don't like cinnamon. Rea has orange jam, zest, and cranberries. I think the citrus version will be very tasty.

And with such a molding at Vitalinka HERE... Cool bun. Need to try. Filling and poppy seeds are possible.
I wonder why baking powder and soda are here? Probably because it doesn't mix?
kseniya D
I didn’t see Vitalinkin, but I had Dopletin’s bread in line for the near future.
Why baking powder with baking soda, I don't know, I followed the recipe.

Ksyusha, wonderful bread! Delicious, aromatic and a pleasure to eat.
I also have a similar butter bread, but yours is different. Long live a lot of good recipes!

Wow, Marin, how cool you have. I sent it to my bookmarks.
Mine has been on the table for 1.5 days under the bag and is still as soft. First time with me like that! Usually the next day the rolls are not so tasty.

I love simple recipes that are not troublesome.

Can you ask a question? Why is sugar indicated twice in the recipe: 120 gr and below 80 gr? Girls who have already tried this recipe, how much sugar did they put in?

Why is sugar indicated twice in the recipe: 120 gr and below 80 gr,
Because it is rolled out, smeared with butter and sprinkled with sugar. These are 80 grams, and 120 are in the dough.
Isetlana
ang-kay, thank you very much for the promptness, otherwise I got stuck in the process ...
