Salzburg-style meat in beer (Salzburger Bierfleisch) (Steba DD1)

Ingredients

Beef 600gr
Beer dark 1 / 4L
Onion 2 pcs
Pork fat 150gr
Tomato paste 20g
Flour (starch) 40gr
Bouillon 3 / 4L
Salt pepper
Marjoram, thyme
Black bread 1 slice
Fat 1 slice
Oil (fat) for frying

Cooking method

  • Roasting mode - 15 min.
  • In oil (fat), fry the beef, cut into small pieces. Set aside on a plate. Fry bacon and onion in the remaining sauce.
  • Return the meat to the pan, add tomato paste, flour (starch), salt and pepper, add marjoram and thyme (I have dry ones), pour over with beer.
  • Cook on the Meat setting 0.7 bar, 30 min. I spent another 1.5 hours in the "Heating" mode.
  • Cut black bread into cubes, fry with bacon. Before serving, sprinkle the meat with the resulting mixture (I have no lard). Serve with Potato Dumplings.
