Lentils Lausitz

Ingredients

Cheevitsa 500 g
Onion 1 PC.
Pork fat 80 g
Prunes 150 g
Lemon zest 1 tsp
Salt to taste

Cooking method

  • If it is very dry, prunes should be soaked beforehand, then boiled together with the zest until soft in the same water. Divide the bacon in half and, finely chop one half, heat the cracklings from it, and boil the second half along with onions and lentils until the last is ready. Remove the onion and bacon, season with salt, mix with chopped prunes and serve, sprinkle with cracklings on top.
