Emerald ketchup from green tomatoes

Ingredients

green tomatoes 2 Kg
apples 500 g
bulb onions 500 g
sugar 100 g
vinegar 250 ml
salt 25 g
cloves and black peppercorns 10 pieces

Cooking method

  • Finely chop the tomatoes, apples and onions, peel the apples. Place in a saucepan, add a little water and cook, stirring until thick. Rub through a sieve, I used a hand blender. Then add sugar, salt, vinegar, cloves and pepper and boil for about 10 minutes. While hot, put in sterilized jars and roll up.

The dish is designed for

about 3 liters
