Apple jam "Diet"

Apple Jam Diet

Ingredients

apples 1 kg
celery 200g.
sugar 100g
lemon acid 1/4 tsp
medical supplements (option)
water 75ml

Cooking method

  • A very simple, extremely quick-to-make jam that is suitable for people on a diet, as well as people with diabetes and intestinal diseases. Cut the core out of the apples (about 800-850g will remain), it is better to cut the skin off the celery with a vegetable cutter-housekeeper. We cut everything at random, add additives (see below), add Zhelfix 3: 1 and sugar, mix and leave to give juice for 15 minutes. If you have "Zhelfix 2: 1", then you need 150g of sugar and 300g of celery. Pour in water and add citric acid. Bring to a boil with frequent stirring and cook for 3 minutes with vigorous stirring. We puree with a blender and place in prepared sterilized jars. Very tasty, fast and healthy! Energy value of 100g jam is less than 50kcal!

Note

Celery requires more energy to digest than it contains. And the pectin contained in apples and in bags of "Zhelfix" allows to reduce the amount of sugar to insignificant. The benefits of pectin appear when it is used in food to stabilize metabolism. It is able to lower cholesterol in the body, improve intestinal motility and peripheral circulation. But its most valuable property can be safely called the ability to cleanse from harmful substances. Therefore, many experts call this substance the body's orderly. The jam takes only 3 minutes to cook, so most of the vitamins and all minerals are retained.
Additives.
I cook for my mom, she has diabetes and a bleeding-prone bowel disease. Therefore, I added blackberries (100g for each kg of apples).
For people with sleep disorders or increased excitability, you can add 20-25 "leaves" of fresh lavender, "needles" of fresh rosemary from two branches or 10-15 leaves of lemon balm for each kilogram of apples.
For people with heart disease, you can add 10-15 hawthorn apples (remove the seeds!) Or 2 finely grated carrots or 100 g of zucchini for each kilogram of apples.
For people with liver disease, you can add 100g of pumpkin for every kilogram of apples.
For people with diseases of the bronchi and lungs, you can add leaves from several sprigs of thyme.
If there are no fresh leaves of "additives" available, then you can drop 3-4 drops of purified essential oil of the necessary "additive" into the already prepared "puree" and immediately spread out in jars.

Linadoc, you are smart.
Linadoc
Tatyana, Thank you! And me on "you"!
Olga VB
Linadoc, what a miracle!
And where do we store it, in the refrigerator or in the buffet?
And how much is stored?
By the way, is citric acid necessary or can you juice from a half-lemon? Or even add a whole lemon straight with pulp?
francevna
Lina, jam looks very nice! Yes, also with additives, I'll try to cook at least a little. Only there are no apples of our own, you need to buy locals, and the celery disappeared from the store.
Linadoc
Olga, we store it "in the buffet". I store (like everyone else) in shelves on the balcony. And mom doesn't keep it for long. I do it in 0.25L cans to control the dose - no more than 1/4 cans at a time. You can also lemon juice, you can also whole lemon (only cut off the white layer so that it doesn't taste bitter - dessert after all!).
Linadoc
Alla, Thank you! I have a load of apples and celery of my own. Therefore, there is no problem. But I think you can find everything in the neighbors or markets.
Linadoc
Olga, here are the jars I have (the last shelf of the rack, the rest are busy with vegetable preparations and jams randomly, but with inscriptions):

On the left is the option without blackberry. There are also a dozen of such jars.
Olga VB
Linadoc, babble!
It's cool on the balcony there, too.
And I have no balcony.
Well, okay, I can do a little as needed.

Linochka! Gorgeous recipe! And what a beauty! One color can heal! I liked very much about the supplements. Pro is immediately visible! Thank you, Linochka, for a useful, beautiful and necessary recipe!
Need to do. Only my leaf celery.

Lina, which is the pivotal root? We must try to do it. My husband is also with type 2 diabetes and with stents, he eats jam only on fructose, I do everything to him with jaundice. Neighbors regularly supply apples, there is no longer any strength to eat. And I didn't plant celery this year, I foolishly mixed up the planting plan and didn't have enough space for it. Mozhkt, I will find it in local stores. Can you please tell me the taste of celery is felt?
Olga VB
I understand that these are stems.
The root is different.
By the way, I now use celery root in many soups instead of potatoes.
This is tasty, somewhat reminiscent of young potatoes, and healthy, and less high in calories.
Even her husband, who loves to eat plump, very much approves of it.
Linadoc
Ludmila, Luda, a sheet is also suitable. But you need to cook the root a little separately - 10 minutes, cut into cubes. Otherwise he will be very tough.

Can you feel the taste of celery?
Veronica, the taste of celery, of course, is felt, but not strongly. It is very pleasant - fragrant, gives off a little nuts.

Olga, that's right - the stems. This is the juicy part, we are making a fruit dessert.

This means that celery is needed and never root, but petiolate. Well, I definitely won't find this one in the wilderness of Vladimir ... What a pity, I've already rolled out my lips, I'm sitting after the massage trying to figure out how much zhelfix I have left and where it lies in general ...
Linadoc

Veronica, you can, you can root, only boil it first for 10 minutes, and only then add it to the apple.
paramed1
Lina, there is no one anyway! I will sit and once again scold myself for mixing up the beds in the spring ... And there he was, in the plan! Okay, maybe the apples will live up to Moscow, where everything is there.
Linadoc

Veronique, keep them in the cold, just don't freeze them. And not in a bag, but in something breathable.

sheet will work too.
Very well! I have this leafy half-bed. Thank you, Linochka!

I chopped root celery for freezing and drying on Zelmera (as usual we chop carrots), I bought everything in the Magnit hypermarket, and as the sanctions were introduced, all the celery disappeared. and the price of lemons is already going through the roof, 169 rubles per kg.

How well I have grown both root and core celery this year! They are not very nice looking, and in general they are a little "scruffy" (it was necessary to water more often), but they are.
francevna
I love apple root celery very much, I planted it through seedlings, but the root did not grow, only the leaves. I dried them, they have such an amazing aroma, but fresh leaves do not have such an aroma.
Linadoc
Quote: francevna
and when fresh, the leaf has no such aroma.
Alla, the aroma from the leaves appears during heat treatment. The flavor will appear in the jam.
paramed1
Alla, I also had the same nonsense with the root - the leaves grew immeasurably, and barely dug out of the ground, it all crawled in different directions with such decent tap roots. A neighbor taught me to pick off the lower leaves, as some pick cabbage, and to remove the leaves decently. Then the root is formed as it should. And it worked. But last year ...
Anna1957
How interesting it is with stalk celery. I love him very much. Now I will try to add to the sybarite jam (I cook the night in a slow lid without sugar at all).

Lin, he is Sybaritic by the name of E. Stoyanova's nutritional system (this kind of psychotherapy is for people who have to deny themselves goodies for various reasons.) By the way, it is a reasonable nutrition system. I dropped 17 kg on it.

I missed this recipe! Linochka! Required !!
Linadoc
Olya, go for it!

Linadoc, what a wonderful recipe, I immediately wanted to run for celery!
Linadoc
Lily, and sooooo delicious!
Pava tree
I brewed a couple of jars of Apple and Fig for testing. There was no petiole or root celery, only leaf celery. I put it down, tried to cut it with a smaller knife. The jam turned out to be delicious, but all the same, the leaves do not chew very well. In the next portion, I will scroll the celery leaves through a meat grinder with a small amount of apples (for better grinding of the celery).
Linadoc
Oksana, well done! Leaves can be scrolled, or cut into porridge with a blender.

Well, wow, now I saw the recipe, it's very interesting to try! Only yesterday I was thinking where to put apples, for celery it remains only to drop into the store. Linadoc, and purée after cooking with the "leg" of the blender? And thanks a lot for the jam!
Linadoc
Tatyana, yeah, the "foot" is the easiest thing. This is exactly what I do.
win-tat
Well, now everything is clear, thanks again!

I cooked it today, added black chokeberry too, I really liked the color in the photo. Everything is being prepared really very quickly! I have 2: 1 gelix. Here is a small photo report

It’s so yummy, I licked all the scoops, while I was stirring them. I thought that sugar would not be enough, but it turned out just right, what the doctor ordered. Linadoc, many, many more thanks for such a wonderful jam!
Linadoc
Tatyana, ooooh, excellent photo-reader! I'm glad that the recipe came up, cook for health

Thank you ! Dada, very suitable, now I will try with other additives! Excellent result with minimal labor costs!
sweet_blondy
Lina, I understand correctly that even if there are no health problems, can you make this jam with any of the listed additives?
Guzel62
I made this jam.
I took apples (scavenged scavengers), celery (bought in a store) - all according to the recipe. I didn't know for what disease I needed to add supplements (oh said? 🤣), so I put that I found at home. 15 gooseberries (but I have a huge one!), 6 pieces of plums, 2 handfuls of black. currants and 100 grams of zucchini.
Everything else was done according to the recipe.
I don’t know what kind of healing it will be (with my set of ingredients), but I’ll tell you delicious! Just stunned !!!
I don't accept celery anywhere, I can't even stand the smell, but here, I didn't smell any taste or smell! Kislenko, beautiful, useful (I still hope)!
Thank you dear!

Oh, well done girls! Any such jam is tasty, simple, and not harmful
sweet_blondy
Linadoc, then we will do
Guzel62
I rolled up another portion. I took apples, celery, zucchini and gooseberries. I messed up with water. For some reason, I was tempted that 1 kg of apples needed 100 grams of water, and there were more apples, more zucchini and gooseberries (total weight about 1.5 kg, otherwise more), I decided to add more water. I put gr 140. The jam turned out to be a little thin. I immediately felt the difference with the previous game.
Question: will this stand? Or open cans, boil over again, add Jellix or something else? Or use a liquid and not bother?
Linadoc
Do not bother, well, the jam will be thin, it will be better distributed over the surface. Do not do anything.
