By the way, Ksyusha, I also made this jam from apples. It turned out very beautiful! But the taste was not impressed. No, it certainly tastes good. But not at all the same as from pears and pumpkins.
Omela

I will cook a lot too.
Luda,

I never tried it with pumpkin, so the pear sank to me.

Ksyusha, what are your years!
Omela
Well, yes .. we can when I grow my own .. how many times have planted. never grew up.
Reine de Saba
Omela, the jam is just super. I made pears from four kg, only a couple of small jars remained, but I still haven't expressed my gratitude, as it turned out. Here is a bald.
Thank you very much
Omela
Reine de Saba, glad you liked! I have not done it this season yet.
Scarecrow
Well, you are for people, damn it ... And where can I find cardamom now? ..

I will not peel pears. do not even persuade. Here's another nonsense to deal with. I think that nothing fatal will happen))). But where to find cardamom ???
V-tina
Well.. nafig why did I see this .. now I have to go to the market for cardamom, for coffee ..
V-tina
Quote: Omela
instead of cardamom it was 1/2 hour. l. ground cinnamon and 1/2 tsp. l. ground cloves.
who knows which option is tastier ??
Omela
Scarecrow, summer pears do not need to be peeled. I bought green cardamom in Indian spices.

Quote: V-tina

Tina, for me - definitely with cardamom.

V-tina
Omela, yeah, I understand, I'll be in the market - I'll buy a late pear from me anyway, "November", you don't have to run to the market ..
marina-asti
Here! Brilliant! Yesterday I saw that they were selling pears in buckets in the village, I just felt that I needed it! I could not clearly explain to my husband why, but I needed it! Let's go home, I will definitely buy it!
Just the cardamom in the bag is - I didn't know what to do with it!
Scarecrow, if you will be in the capital, I can share, not much, but for pears it will definitely be enough!
Scarecrow
marina-asti,

I found. In grains, as expected.

Pear yours, so shaaaa ... I'm taking part in the feast! Last year I looked at the recipe and forgot about it completely, yes ...
litichka80
And I understood why it smells like cigarette butts ((((
This is all coffee. Here I can directly smell this coffee-butt smell😢 ...
The coffee is bad. You are the one to blame(((
Omela
litichka80, I roast coffee myself, it doesn't smell like cigarette butts.,)
Reine de Saba
I also have no foreign smells
We must do more again. The first batch in a couple of months is almost over
By the way, I added pieces of pear from jam to muffins, very tasty
Omela
Reine de Saba, yes, it ends quickly.)
Scarecrow
I'm cooking by the way! True. I don’t take out pears and put them back in and don’t even hope. While it smells awesome. I liked the taste too. It hasn't come to coffee yet. In short, news from the fields, online reporting!)))
Omela
Scarecrow, stocked up on popcorn .. settled in the front row.
Omela
Scarecrow, well sho there ??? I'm worried.

This year, for the first time, pears were ugly, but it's a pity for jam ... so we eat.)

Jam from pears and coffee
Scarecrow
Omela,

Today I cooked exactly 3 cans of 2 kg. It was delicious with cardamom, but it is generally charming on its own. And with coffee I nina. Nothing left to try))). The smell is kind of cool. I covered another 3 kg of sugar. Maybe these will remain?)))
Omela
Let's wait.
shl. by the way, the jam should be at least slightly infused so that the aroma of coffee is absorbed.
Scarecrow

Vooot. That's why I say - I have no idea yet. I, of course, tried a few pieces of pear, but the jam was hot and the coffee fell asleep for as long as a few minutes. So you will not understand anything at all.It is not for nothing that it is written - must be infused. Well, at least a little. Must wait. So he insists in banks))). I will probably add a circle of lemon to the new batch (for the whole pot). And a preservative, and at least a slight tint of acidity. And then the pears are sweet, sweet. I never took out the pears, the syrup is liquid (the pears are very juicy, but the pieces are completely whole and dense.
Scarecrow
Omela,

I'm brewing the second batch.))) As promised. From 3 kg (pears in bulk, dry / cook).

This time I poured the syrup and boiled it separately. The syrup only darkens and the nifiga is not boiled down (juicy pears). Well, okay. The first batch is also completely liquid. That's perfect. But, since pears are strong pieces - I don't think so. that it will be a problem when eaten.

And I also have a rationalization proposal for cardamom. Of course, this is one of the "strongest" and heat-resistant spices, but it is still better to add it before the second or even the third cooking. The aroma leaves. Leaves a lot. Here.
Omela
Scarecrow, you can experiment with cardamom and choose the option you like. Theoretically, you can add with coffee.
marina-asti
Omela, I also finally made my dream come true)! cooked from 2 kg. Like Scarecrow, did not clean, did not take out the pears. Pears for their summer cottages (neighbors). There was 1 tablespoon left to try, which my husband and I shared on paws)! very good delicious! Tomorrow I will get another 7-8 kg of pears - I want to try one batch with coffee, I just need to buy it with a different degree of roast, mine will not work.
marina-asti
I put in the second batch of 4 kg, boiled it for the first time in the morning, I also have to pull out the pears, these are very juicy, there are much more liquids than in the last call.
Omela
Marina., glad you liked. And I still can't get my hands on this jam. I'm doing watermelon.)
marina-asti
Omela, I have a bunch of watermelons, but for them I'm lazy, unfortunately, let my husband eat like that)) I still got a basket of plums, I still need to save them!
Scarecrow
marina-asti,

Marina, for 1 kg of plums - juice and zest of 1 orange. Well, sugar, of course (I put about 400g). And cook in 3 steps. The thing turns out. Usually the juice is boiled with sugar for about 2 minutes, the plums are lowered and allowed to boil, add the zest, turn off immediately and until it cools completely. Then twice more: let the whole mass boil - turn it off. You can have less juice, sometimes I put the juice of 1 orange for 3 kg. There is a lot of pectin in plums and I love it when it is picked out of the jar in a heap. My mother, on the contrary, loves. so that it was so soft and fluid.
marina-asti
Scarecrow, you know, I got hooked on chutney, but they brought me a small plum, I'm not sure if I have the patience to pull out the bones. In our country, nobody eats jam as such, in winter I cook from frozen berries for food and put a little sugar. I was bribed in these pears by 250 grams per kg, while it turns out really sweet! It will be great for yogurt / cottage cheese!
I still want to make a few jars of coffee, I bought coffee!
Then I went here

Scarecrow
marina-asti,

Well, for jam, of course you need it.
Maybe pickle? There is no need to pull the bones out.

I don't understand what for: you wipe everything through a sieve, something else. I just blended everything together (without bones, of course) in mashed potatoes and nafig. There is a rub. It looks something like this:
Jam from pears and coffee
Ёlenka
Today I brewed this jam, the smell is breathtaking and with such a small amount of sugar it turned out sweet. Made some gag ... split the cardamom in half, added one half to the second brew, and the rest to the last. And at the last cooking I added 1 bag of zhelfix (there were 1.5 kg of pears), it turned out to be a rather thick jam.
Thanks for the recipe!
Omela
Elena, glad you liked it. Still, I also need to buy pears !!!
elka34
Hello to coffee lovers and coffee lovers! In general, I am a coffee maniac with thirty years of experience, I have been drinking coffee almost from birth, this is what I did!
Jam from pears and coffee
There was nothing left for the sample, and I did not take the pears out of the syrup, it was lazy for me, the pieces are hard, you can see the sort. But paaaahnet !!!!!
Omela
Elena, glad you liked it! And praise from

worth a lot!
afnsvjul
Omela, but tell me it's not very clear about coffee, add it when everything is ready and you don't need to cook with it? Or should the jam boil at least a little along with the coffee?

And then I finally found in our village - so cardamom is not ground (I was running around the city for a week) and now I have a box of pears, so right now I will make a miracle jam !!!!!
Omela
Yulia, I add at the very end, mix and immediately put into jars.
CurlySue
Omela, thanks for the awesome recipe!
Made this wonderful jam today.
The aroma at the end of cooking is both aaaaaldet.
True, I had an incident ... and instead of cardamom in "boxes" I bought star anise
I just never saw cardamom in this form ... Only in grains.
I came home, found that there was cardamom in the recipe, read about star anise. That it is also added to sweets and as a refined seasoning ...
And put 3 star anise "stars" - as soon as I made the first boiling jam.
After about the 2nd cooking, the syrup was drained, and it became much darker and thicker.
At the end, I added about 3 tablespoons of coffee beans (for 2.5-3 kg of pears)
And I boiled it for another 10 minutes (it happened for me ....).

In general, take an exclusive: I'm not an absolute coffee lover.
I drink coffee very rarely, most often at a party or in a cafe.
But I liked the coffee with pear 100%.
Because "interesting and not beaten." All sorts of strawberry-apricot-plum jams are already trite.
I will do more.
Omela
Elena, thanks for such a delicious story! Glad you liked! The taste is really not hackneyed.
afnsvjul
Omela, thank you, I understood everything about the coffee, but here's another question why you should put pears covered in sugar in the refrigerator? And if without a refrigerator can they give pear juice faster or is it some kind of culinary trick? You just need to handle the jam over the weekend, then there will be no time for the owl.

And between brews when the jam cools down, too, put it in the cold?
Omela
Yulia, in the refrigerator for more time to soak in the cardamom. If there is no time, then don't bet. Between brews, do not go to the refrigerator.
afnsvjul
afnsvjul
Omela, thank you very much!!! Everything worked out!!! TASTY !!!!! I put the next portion in the refrigerator (for 3 kg)
Kalyusya
Omela, Ksyuyuyuh, what if cardamom is only ground? smell will not be in the finished product? did not experiment? I have had a bag for a long time, but I know there are boxes, but I don’t remember where to look.

went to rummage in banks
Omela
Yulia, glad you liked.
Galya, don't do it with ground, a completely different smell. Cardamom green in boxes in Indian spices for sale. It's not cheap, but I've been using one sachet for two years now.
Kalyusya
Omela, Ksenia, I understood everything. bombed I disassembled the whole shelf in the closet and found a bag with boxes.
I remember that I bought, I even used ... it must be. Well, I found it. At the same time, she conducted an audit.
Omela

MALADEC !!

I need to write you out to me to sort it out!

Kalyusya
Yes lehko! And you come to me. We wave, so to speak, without looking.
I didn't get jam with jam, jam was cooked. The pears are all solid and plump. Sweetoooooo, even though I shoved a lemon. Here.
afnsvjul
And I've already put in the third portion. I already have a queue for this jam from those who wish. : girl-yes: True, no one wants to do it, they are waiting for me to treat
