Cinnamon Tomatoes

Ingredients

Tomatoes
Water 1.5 l
Salt 1 tbsp. l with top
Sugar 4 tbsp. l
Bay leaf 2 pcs.
Carnation 4 things.
Peppercorns 3 pcs.
Cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon
Vinegar essence 1 tsp

Cooking method

  • Put all the ingredients, except the vinegar essence, in water and boil for 10 minutes. Pour into a jar of tomatoes. After 3-5 minutes, drain the brine and boil again for 10 minutes, at the end add the vinegar essence. Pour over the tomatoes, let stand for a while and roll up.

I have been making these tomatoes for many years. Then I wanted something new. And this year I decided to cook again. There is no vinegar in the original recipe, but I keep it at home and am afraid of the consequences. And I do not boil for 10 minutes, but less. I see no point in 10 minutes

: girl-q: Appetizing tomatoes, I love these, I roll them up without cinnamon, but once I worked in a cannery, so they put cloves, cinnamon, allspice in the tomatoes, how delicious they were !!! but it seems to me the essence is too much, 1 tsp. enough

I agree, that's enough. I put 1 spoon, and wrote, as it is written in the recipe. Probably need to fix
