Bernard's Potato and Fish Casserole

Ingredients

Fish (cod, salmon or other) 850 g
Potatoes 650 g
Garlic 4 tooth
Olive oil 50 ml
Sour cream 150 g
Salt pepper Taste
Thyme, laurel Taste

Cooking method

  • Hi everybody!
  • Our family loves this fish casserole. The original uses cod fish, I do it with white, red or mix. Lightweight, just what you need for dinner. Highly recommend.
  • Made some additions. It turned out to be even tastier, I just added half the sour cream and half the cottage cheese (pasty, NOT grainy). Now I will do it with cottage cheese, delicious and healthy!
  • Preparation:
  • Place fish in cold water with thyme and bay leaves.

  • Place over medium heat and bring to a boil. Stop cooking as soon as the water boils. Squeeze out the fish. Then crush the fish with a fork to make fish chips.
  • Simultaneously with cooking, boil peeled potatoes, steam (you can also use the standard method).
  • Make mashed potatoes.
  • Bernard's Potato and Fish Casserole
  • Preheat oven to 210 ° C.
  • Pour 30ml of oil into a frying pan or saucepan (you can where you cooked the fish), add finely chopped garlic cloves.
  • Cook for 2 minutes until you smell garlic. Add the crumbled fish, then mashed potatoes.
  • Mix everything so you can't tell the difference between potatoes and fish.
  • Add sour cream.
  • Beat well, season with salt and pepper. Place in a baking dish. Scribble the surface with a fork. Pour olive oil into the resulting grooves.

  • Bake at 210 ° C for 20 minutes to gild the surface (watch out). Serve immediately with the salad!

  • Enjoy!;)

Note

This is how recipes take on new life!

I slightly altered it for myself. Fried onions and grated carrots with garlic. There was little sour cream, I made it in half with mayonnaise. Added greenery. It turned out great! I would never have guessed to mix all the ingredients into a homogeneous minced meat

Thanks for the recipe!
