Cucumber bread with cheese and dill

Ingredients

wheat flour 380 g
wheat flour 70 g
water 110 ml
dry yeast 1 tsp
fresh cucumbers 300gr
cheese 100 g
dill 4-5 branches
sunflower oil 1.5 tbsp. l
salt 1.5 tsp
sugar 1 tsp

Cooking method

  • For dough, mix warm water, sugar and yeast. Add 50 g flour and stir. Leave the dough for 30 minutes in a warm place.
  • Grate cucumbers and sprinkle with salt. Leave the cucumbers until they let the juice go. If the skin of the cucumbers is rough, then it is better to peel them.
  • Finely chop the dill and grate the hard cheese (or cut it into small cubes).
  • It is good to squeeze the cucumbers from excess moisture, add to the matched dough along with cheese and dill.
  • Add flour gradually and knead the dough. I kneaded the dough in KhP using the yeast bread program.
  • Divide the dough into several koloboks, put them in a prepared form and put them in a warm place until the volume increases by 2-2.5 times.

  • Leave for 40-50 minutes, brush with warm milk and sprinkle with oregano.
  • Bake in an oven preheated to 200 0C, within 40 minutes until golden brown.

Note

In the recipe, it was recommended to squeeze the cucumbers, which I did. But in the process of kneading, there was not enough liquid, so squeezed cucumber juice (I got 50 ml) I also had to add to the dough.

The dryer works around the clock, and I dry mushrooms in the oven. And the end of this season, apparently, will not be. My husband brings a bucket of mushrooms every day. So, I didn’t wait and baked it with bread in KhP. Everything is strictly according to the recipe, only I did not squeeze the juice from the cucumbers, I just poured water by 70 ml less.
There was no smell of cucumbers and herbs during baking. But in the bread itself there is a very clear smell.
