Peasant Rotini

Ingredients

Rotini pasta 300g
Minced meat 500g
Parmesan 200g
Bulb onions 2 pcs.
Garlic 2 tooth
Green onion 1 bundle
Salt pepper taste
Parsley 3st. l.
Vegetable oil for frying

Cooking method

  • Boil the pasta in salted water until "al dente", put in a colander.
  • Cut the green onions into small pieces.
  • Peel and finely chop the onions.
  • Pass the garlic through a press.
  • Fry onions and garlic in a well-heated frying pan in vegetable oil.
  • Add minced meat, fry, stirring occasionally, until tender. Season to taste.
  • Add green onions, stir and fry for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Combine minced meat, pasta, grated parmesan, cover and keep until the cheese is melted.
  • When serving, sprinkle with finely chopped parsley.

Note

Rotini - rotini (spirals)
A similar short "spring" would be obtained if spaghetti twisted around a knitting needle. So it was once made by hand.

But I most likely had Fusilli - fusilli
Curly paste - a spiral about 4 cm long. Larger fusilli with a more swirling spiral are called "rotini".
