IsidaThanks for the tip! It would not have occurred to me to use viburnum like that. I especially recommend it to those who suffer from hypertension.

IsidaPlease tell me if the viburnum really becomes sweet from the frost,
can then stand it in the freezer so that there is no bitterness?
Rada-dms
I also make such a jam, the orange softens the taste very much !!
I take off the viburnum after frost, so at all times they did it to soften the bitterness. But the question is, does the marshmallow harden with so much sugar? Somewhere the info slipped through, that because of the large amount of sugar it hardens badly.

Rada-dms, I have a viburnum, just crushed and sprinkled with sugar in an incomprehensible amount, often becomes like jelly.
But I usually buy late, because I don't like the bitterness in it.

Girls, please help! The viburnum is in the freezer and must be disposed of, since it takes up space, but I can't stand the taste of viburnum. The question is: will the orange remove this aftertaste, will it not turn out so that you have to throw everything away, only now with the orange, and a waste of time and food? Who did and can answer? And is there too much sugar in the recipe?

BlackHairedGirl, Tan, do you just hate the taste or other family members too? If only you, they will "help". And you don't eat it anyway.

I dried in the oven. Dry for 3 days. Handsomely. But the neighbors came. They asked to clean up the cat. Explained.

Awesome marshmallow turned out! Sweet and sour, with bitterness. I generally love Kalina! I had a very large orange. I took off the zest from it, removed the white part, and twisted it into slices in a blender. Kalina rubbed it. And my husband and I brew the cake in a thermos with tea. In general, waste-free production! Instead of sugar, I put honey on the eye (not a kilogram, of course, much less). When the marshmallow was drying, I felt the honey aroma more. In the finished pastille, the aroma of orange prevails. Probably, next time I will try to add a banana or apple so that the consistency is more stable. Thanks to the author for the recipe!
