Zucchini and Carrot Pie Spiral

Ingredients

Flour psh. 200 g
Oil sl. 100 g
Ice water 5 tbsp. l.
Zucchini 2 pcs.
Carrot 2 pcs.
Grated cheese 150 g
Eggs 3 pcs.
Cream 10% 200 g
Garlic 3 teeth
Ground nutmeg 2 tsp
Salt pinch

Cooking method

  • An important condition for this pie is that the zucchini and carrots should be about the same diameter.
  • From flour, cold butter and ice water, quickly prepare chopped dough. I, without further ado, kneaded it in a combine. Once a lump has formed, the dough is ready:

  • We distribute it along the bottom of the form, forming sides, close in height to the thickness of zucchini:
  • Zucchini and Carrot Pie Spiral and put it in the refrigerator for a while.
  • Cut carrots and zucchini into thin slices. For this, you can use ordinary peelers, but I want to warn you: it is desirable that the carrots are cut thinner than the zucchini, since it takes a little longer to cook. I cut vegetables with Victorinox - it turned out too thin, with a Berner vegetable peeler - not bad, but it turned out to be most convenient on the unit of the Berner Vip flat insert:

  • Now we lay out the vegetable ribbons over the dough, starting from the sides and alternating vegetables with each other:

  • Here's what a bright blank will turn out as a result:

  • Preparing the filling - mix the eggs with cream, add chopped garlic, grated cheese, salt and nutmeg:

  • And we pour it onto our blank:

  • Apparently, the ribbons of vegetables need to be laid less tightly than I did, then the grated cheese would flow into the cracks, and the spiral on the surface of the finished pie would be more pronounced than I did after baking 180about In one hour:

  • But it did not affect the taste!

Larissahow beautiful it is!
It would seem that it is just a vegetable casserole, but due to the design it is a work of culinary art.
Take note: we love vegetables in any form!

Exactly, Ira, she also thought, but here's how to arrange it aesthetically? Probably ringlets and stack upright.
