Note

Sprouted rye seeds are an excellent health product that actively stimulates the human immune system. No wonder foreigners are surprised: “Why are you growing wheat? You have rye! " I determine the high quality of rye seedlings by the special properties characteristic of this culture - cold resistance, high immunity, an increased amount of vitamin E in the grain.

Sowing rye, or cultivated (Secale sereale) is a plant of the cereal family (bluegrass). The native land of cultivated rye is probably the Transcaucasia and Western Asia. It came from weed-field rye, which littered the crops of wheat and barley. Farmers drew attention to the fact that she perfectly withstood cold weather, winds, rains and droughts. When sown in more northern regions and in mountainous zones, wheat died, and rye, as a more winter-hardy, hardy plant, brought a crop.
Rye is not very soil demanding, since its root system allows the plant to absorb nutrients from hard-to-reach areas. It is the most cold-resistant grain crop of those cultivated in the temperate latitudes of the globe. Rye seeds germinate even at temperatures close to zero, and seedlings covered with snow can withstand temperatures as low as minus 45 ° C. Perhaps the unusual strength of rye's immunity compared to wheat is due, in part, to the fact that its seeds contain more vitamin E (10 mg / 100 g) than wheat seeds (7 mg / 100 g).
Although rye grains have slightly less protein (13%) than wheat grains, proteins have a better set of amino acids: they have more lysine and threonine. Grains contain 2% fat, 69% carbohydrates. Rye is rich in minerals. Its grains contain a lot of potassium (425 mi / 100 g), calcium (58 mg / 100 g), phosphorus (292 mg / 100 g), magnesium (120 mg / 100 g). Rye is a good source of manganese (2.7 mg / 100 g), iron (4.2 mg / 100 g), zinc (2.5 mg / 100 g). It also contains fluorine, silicon, sulfur, vanadium, chromium, selenium, copper, molybdenum. Rye seeds are an excellent source of vitamins, primarily of group B. They contain vitamins Bt (0.45 mg / 100 g), B2 (0.26 mg / 100 g), B3 (2.4 mg / 100 g), B5 (1.5 g / 100 g), BB (0.47 lg / 100 g), folic acid (0.04 mg / 100 g). In addition to vitamins of group B, they contain vitamins E (10 mg / 100 g), K, D, P.
The processes that take place during germination turn rye seeds into a product that actively boosts our immunity. By the 5th day of germination, the amount of vitamin C increases from 0.58 mg / 100 g to 9.68 mg / 100 g, i.e., more than 16 times. The total amount of water-soluble antioxidants increases 11 times: from 29 mg / 100 g to 320 mg / 100 g.In the autumn-winter period, rye seedlings protect us from colds, in the spring - from vitamin deficiency. The amount of fiber in rye seedlings increases from 2.7 g / 100 g to 6.9 g / 100 g, which has a positive effect on the functioning of the human gastrointestinal tract.
In their action, rye seedlings are similar to wheat seedlings: they compensate for vitamin and mineral deficiencies, stimulate the intestines, increase peristalsis and normalize microflora, have a slight laxative effect, and help cleanse the body of toxins and toxins. Shown in the treatment of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract (chronic colitis, gastritis and gastroduodenitis), in the complex treatment of gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer in remission. Rye sprouts normalize the functioning of the circulatory and nervous systems, improve metabolism, and strengthen the immune system. Recommended for diabetes, allergies, obesity. Improves skin condition, promotes hair growth. Contraindication - gluten intolerance. 🔗 .
